Hasbro originally said they were releasing it in the fall, but they may be planning to release it early. I don't think anyone knows at this point.

If you were stupid enough to get hooked on heroin then you deserve to be made fun of. Dont push your drug beliefs on other people, especially not in a nerf forum. Go to itookheroinandbecamechristian.com and rant about it there.

I count about 28, maybe 32 tops screws, so not that bad.

Like Slug said, the people who wrote the article don't really know what they're talking about. When they say "pneumatic pump" they might be thinking of a plunger. Because if you look before the words you quoted, it says "Like many other NERF guns..."

Yeah, I got the fact that they are probably talking about (what we normally call) a plunger. And, actually, the main thing that made me think that you can single fire is the sentence after the sentence I quoted:

"[The Vulcan] has a pneumatic pump that's used to fire off single rounds. But six D batteries turn the hybrid Blaster into a foam shooting [fully automatic] gun."

In my opinion, such a comparison makes me think that it has two modes of fire: LS-mode, and full-auto mode. I could be wrong, though; I was just excited at the possibility. Personally, after Slug's statements, I tend to think that my initial reading was incorrect.

it's belt-fed with 25 shots a belt, possibility of extra belts being purchasable, has a single-shot or full auto mode, and shoots a new form of DtD without the velcro on it, possibly hailing back to the old megas that the DT3 used, just with a DtG Tip

I'm not sure weither this has been said or not, but in the picture, the ammo box is not attached(i know thats been said), but maybe the box is there so more ammo belts(which are totally badass) could be added, and I think the little switch on the trigger is the full auto/semi auto switch.
EDIT: Good luck opening it up to get to the inside. . I will have to add this to my TF2 Nerfed Video collection as the heavy weapons guy.
EDIT II: Now that i think about it, the box is probably a housing for the batteries, allowing the gun to be full auto, pardon me if this has been suggested already.

Actually, I'm fairly certain that it fires Sonic Micros - you know, the ones that whistle when you fire them out of anything with sufficient power (i.e. isn't stock).

Well, it comes on a tripod, if it is good I can imagine it being a highly effective weapon for capture the flag, humans vs. zombies, and assassins. Let's hope it is air powered and not battery powered, that is if (big if) the 6-D batteries are only used for advancing the belt.

Ummm... that's why I said BIG IF. Besides, this is before we had pictures of the damned thing, it is brutally obvious now that it doesn't not use an air bladder/tank since there is no pump anywhere attached to it at all.

Smeagol, I said that because of Angel's express intent to mod this thing to kingdom come. I didn't say Slug or Piney or Carbon or Ompa or anybody else, because Angel's the only one who has said that he intends to do wonderful things to this gun.

I see promise in this gun, as long as Hasbro doesn't screw it up. Even then, though, we might be able to fix it.
