P.S. I greatly apologize if this has been posted already. I searched the threads and everything but I did not find anything related to this.

I was fooling around with my new recon and tried putting tagger darts into the clip and then firring them. It works!

I don't know if this is normal or if it is just something creepy about my gun but it is gana save me allot of money on darts.

Yes the lack of a fake barrel does make that possible. It will shoot taggers from the magazine, but suction tip stock darts on the other hand will usually get stuck.
Muzzle-loading either works fine.

Forgive me for being unclear by stock I mean non-streamline darts like taggers and the ones with the suction cup at the end.

Oh. Haha sorry about that. Mine fires taggers, just not as far.

Yeah I just tried it also and it doesn't work for me either. I tried like 3 times, the first the dart got jammed, the second the dart got jammed, and the third the dart spit out about 2 inches in front of me.

So why is it that my recon shoots taggers but some people's don't? Could it be something I did to it by accident?

Do you mean the entire rubber part or only taking the velcro off?

The entire rubber part, and what about suction darts what if you trim down the suction dart tip just a little would that prevent it from getting stuck?

The problem is the rubber on the front adds to the weight of the dart and with out that weight the dart will fishtail.

Uh, yeah it does. I did it on my friend's stock LS. I, on the other hand have never had a LS stock long enough to try.

Hmm, this is really weird. It works for some people and not for others. I remember a while back, I had tried putting stock darts into my friend's long shot and it did not work.

While the outer barrel is purely cosmetic, the breach on the LS (and I'm assuming the same can be said for the recon) is very snug. For this reason, without creating a new breach, modded streamline darts are going to be a better fit and fire further out of the gun than micro stefans, which are too tight in the inner barrel. If you want to get similar range out of stefans you have to compensate for the tight fit by increasing the air flow (stronger spring combination) or replacing the breach with one that fits your darts better (FA's Brass breach).
