Hey everyone. I'd just like to introduce one kind of front gun mod that I performed. I've noticed that several people don't like some of the accessories that came with the recon and dubbed them "useless." Well I took one of those "useless" items and made it do something that we all can use.

I used the light that came with the gun and put gun pieces inside it. As you know, I didn't do the front gun integration on my LS so I still had its secondary gun lying around. I took out its gun pieces and put them inside the light. It took some dremeling and scrounging but I got something functional. I plan on going out one day this week and getting better pieces to make it pretty and more functional.

There are two springs inside - the normal ls secondary spring and a mave spring. Together, this gun can get about 30 ft. NOTE: The AR's are removed.
EDIT: (I replaced these spring with some better ones. I posted that down below.)

The clips on the light hold up just fine.

Plus, it's modular!

That's one of the things I need to get parts for but as of right now the whole cocker is the trigger. On the inside of the slider at the very back, I dremeled a groove so that it will catch on the end of the tac. rail. Then, I can push down on either side to disengage it. It's not the most reliable trigger but that's why I'm improving it. Also, we have the whole haven to take part in improving it if anyone so wishes.

Also, I just replaced the springs with a firefly and a NF spring. It works a little better. It's kind of impressive that that little space can use those. If I continue to use the little groove, I'll have to reinforce it.
EDIT: The NF spring compressed fully too early so I put the original LS spring back in.

That thing is awesome. It goes together perfectly wiith the color scheme, and looks almost like it came like that. Very clean. Good job!

Nice, very creative. I like how it acts as a foregrip. On mine, I have to use the stupid little 'laser light' as a foregrip. Good Job.

It seems like the front gun would fall of while cocking it. I've never known those little clip on parts to stay on very well.

That's pretty sweet. In fact, a modular integration is a very awesome idea. If I had a longshot I would definetely do that to my recon laser/light thing. Did you mention the range in the posts because I never saw it. Maybe I'm just too tired.

Yeah.

Unscrew LS front gun.
Take internals out.
Put in Recon's light thingy.
Cut hole for the slider.
Put slider on.
Screw it up.
Be mad that the front gun sucks.
