Ok, here we go. As some of you know, I was hired to make a gun for one of my friends. After doing so, the gun I made was big and heavy, and I couldn’t bear to part with it. I scrambled up some money and took a trip to the hardware store to make a second gun, but this one was more thought out. Some of you made good suggestions on the makings of a new gun, and I took most of them, as well as figuring some new stuff out myself. I ended up with a gun about 2 feet long without the barrel, and 3 feet with it. I also integrated a pump, as the last time, because it seemed to be a good idea.

Changes in design
The gun, because it’s so much smaller then my last one, doesn’t need as many pumps because it can build up psi faster. I used the same glue, but orange this time, because it seems to seal the pvc better then anything else I could think of. The barrel to this gun is screwed on and off, because I didn’t want to glue it to the ball value, because then loading anything but a Stefan is near impossible. The guardian’s design was just shoving pvc into the ball value, and half the time the dart was so stuck in the barrel that is shot the barrel off rather then the dart. Using a screw on barrel eliminated that possibility.

Odds meet ends, it’s a much better gun then the guardian, even though it doesn’t shoot quite as far. At 16 pumps, and using the same Stefan every shot, these were my results.
127’
130’
130’
133’

I used the same Stefan in the guardian and pumped it 16 times.
165’
172’
167’
170’

I’m aware it doesn’t shoot as far, but it’s dead accurate, which the guardian could never be. This lead me to the name of the gun, which you might think is stupid but I like it, the “avenger” because it’s avenging everything the guardian failed in.

I was unsatisfied. I rethought my Stefan design and made ones without the orange cap on the end, but simply with an exposed washer covered by hot glue, hoping it would be more arow dynamick. I have to give credit to Forsaken_angel24 because my stefans are now his design, but grey instead of red. The new stefans were about twice the size of my oridgonals, so that probobly had something to do with the succes of the range. Any way, I did more range tests, but only for the new gun this time.

180'
173'
170'
176'

I don't know what happened with the first shot. The wind might have picked up or something. Enough talk, here's the video.

the gun

I was still using the old stefan in this video, so you can see what it looked like. And no, I'll give this one to my friend rather then keeping it like the last one, but I've still fallen in love with it. I would show how to make it, but it's not complicated, and you should be able to figure it out yourself. As to how I got the name, as my quote suggests, it avendged everything the guardian failed in.
Please comment, I very much enjoy reading comments

Yeah, sorry to say it man, I think you posted in the wrong Forum. This is "Nerf Wars," I believe you are looking for "Homemades."

As for the gun, pretty good job there. It's simple and has good ranges, but it is a bit big. Other than that, great homemade.

Thats cool. Butt ugly, but cool. You could just fix the "butt-ugliness factor" with a little black paint though. And it does get great ranges, and it is accurate. Good Job. Wrong forum, but everyone makes mistakes.

It's not like that. I put lube on it and its the same. Its just stuck. And when I cock it back it goes farther back then usual. Also I push as hard as I can and it wont go back in. I've tried the methods and they wont work. Also pics are up.

S-T-E-F-A-N

Not Stuffon. But just an average homemade. One word of advice, use a real S-T-E-F-A-N and not a suction cup on a piece of FBR. Another piece of advice, sand the primer/glue off.
We should stop calling out/making fun of/pissing GC off. He's actually contributed and is available for trade. He's a better than average member no doubt. Got your back Cole.

I think he just glued it on, not solvent welded. not very smart.

"this gun makes up for everything the last failed at"
hehe, what about one of the worst valves ever, and not even constructed properly?

You're getting closer each time you try so don't give up.

Yeah, it's just glue, but it works for me, and what do you suggest to use besides the ball value?

Yeah, it's just glue, but it works for me

But you don't want to be around when it stops working. Seriously, use PVC solvent or you're playing with fire.

(click)
Or you could always go with the solenoid, but then you have to worry about batteries and wiring and crap.

you're playing with fire.

More like a PVC end cap of death launching into your body. I almost took out an eye when I was pumping up my Hornet when I opened it up (all of you who've opened a Hornet know what I'm talking about).

But anyway, ROF is a huge issue for both of your homemades. With that kind of distance you won't be allowed to use it in most large scale Nerf wars anyways. Put a breach on it, and make the air tank smaller for your next homemade.

Another way to reduce the ROF on your next gun would be to make it a springer. You might compromise some distance, but, if you clip it, ROF will greatly increase.

Captain Slug's DCHAP and DCHAP-2 have some valve assemblies that look relatively quick and easy.

Modding a sprinkler is quite easy, but if you don't want to you can get them premodded here (the difference with be amazing)
http://www.bcarms.co...7f314cb279d6149
Its a few bucks more expensive, a unmodded one is about 15, then you have to spend 5 on a blowgun.
And no, Balls are the simplest, and they are really bad comparatively.

Yes but from what I've seen from his "guardian" he is building bombs.
