When I make pnumatic guns I have always noticed how expensive tire valves are. Well, through my failure to think, I only just recently discovered that you can, in fact get TIRE valves from, get this, Dead bike tires. They work fine and have saved me maybe 60 dollars that I would otherwise have wasted on buying new tire valves from the hardware store.

I wish I could remove topics, yeah, I know, that's the "failure to think" part.

Although tube shraeder valves can be used, I find the ones that you buy at the hardware store much easier to use in terms of being air tight. you can't really tap a hole for a bike shraeder... I have yet to figure out how to fix a bike shraeder to pvc such that I could use it in a pneumatic potato launcher... Since I have the background in it. However with nerf, it might as well be either since the pressures aren't as extreme. Thus superior air tightness isn't as much of an issue, it's more of an issue of functionality, not safety.

I wonder if thats why you have to wait so long to get validated...so you can read and see how things work instead of having people post random crap all over the place...

You've purchased over 20 stem valves? They're only $3 each.

The little critters of nature, they don't know that they're ugly. That's very funny, a fly marrying a bumble bee. I told you I'd shoot, but you didn't believe me. Why didn't you believe me?

Not in my area. I've seen them for as much as 13 dollars. Although, maybe that was one in an instance. Anyways, then I saves 30 dollars.
