I have just finished my ultimate nf mods.
  • New cpvc barrel.
  • Newer, much heftyer, spring.
  • Removed ammo holders and tabs off "laser" for easyer(sp) storage.
  • Added ammo holders where batterys go.
  • Removed ar's.
  • removed wiring to "laser".
  • Added o-ring to plunger head.
  • Added washer to plunger head to reinforce it.
  • Strengthened catch spring.
  • Lubed the entire plunger rod.
I plan to integrate a sspb once I get one. Does anyone know where I could get one, I can't find it?

Stock spring on the top, hefty spring on the bottom.

Get 89' with a modded tagger (angled, I'm shooting up a slight slope).

Sorry 'bout the blurry/crappy pics. My dad's in Oregon and he took the camera.

Questions, comments, flames?

I hate to break it to you, but your mod is not original at all. Its all been done. Good job anyways. Ranges?

edit: Your description sounds like you're selling it on ebay.

So, Uh, why exactly did you take out the laser wiring if you didn't intend to integrate something into the dead space or remove it altogether?

I like the added weight to the front and I'm gonna integrate a sspb once I can find one.

Yes, I know, but I took them and did them all to one gun.

Did you just post this so you could get in an argument with ranges? I'm not so sure that can get 89 feet... that's pretty much what my Nitefinder has and it gets around 60 maybe 70 with bands.

Eh. Scary hat.

It's not as clean as it could be, but it's still good. Always feels good to heavily modify something and it's successful.

I'll post my Nite Finder which I did a while ago. I modified it for performance and reliability/longevity and CQC use. (we allow some CQC in our wars)

Are those level ranges or angled ranges? I don't understand how what you did to it could produce 89 flat. I'll take your word for it though, if you say so.

My best couplered NF has a spring similar to that one, and smaller spring inside of it. It has a replaced o-ring etc.
On a good day with a good dart, I can get 80'

Sorry, that's angled. Also, I don't have a tape measure long enough so I had to pace it.

That's not a handyman spring or even one from ace, it's from abachon, and I can't compress it with just my hands.

Gets 89" with a modded tagger.

*Later says*

I paced it off and it was angled

You might want to edit your first post with the new information. Lots of people will think you mean flat. Trust me.

I don't suppose you have the dimensions on that spring, do you? I have something similar to what you said, but it's .120 guage and it's not possible to put in a nitefinder unless you make the plunger rod out of steel and you're Superman.

What most people use is 3 1/2" x 7/8" x .080.

No way you got 89 feet with a tagger. I would'nt even believe it if you used a stefen.

It's angled and he said a "modified tagger", which typically means anything between simply a cut-down tagger to all-out stefanized tagger.

Few things:
1. Why do you call it a mega nitefinder?
2. I agree. The most you can get with a nitefinder is 65' (about)

I got about 80 with two of my Nfs. I put a TTG plunger assembly (spring and all) in two old style Nfs. They got at least 80 feet but the spring was too much. The only reason why it did that good was because the TTG plunger had less room for the spring, so it compressed it more. The NFs didn't live long though. I don't advise anyone to attempt it.

Eh... No integrations, just a cpvc barrel (not pteg or brass), and no easy reload system. It's a decent nightfinder, but it's by no means "mega"

"Which road do I take?" she asked.
"Where do you want to go?" responded the Cheshire cat.
"I don't know," Alice answered.
"Then," said the cat, "it doesn't matter."

Why all the haters? I get 80+ easy with my NF. You just need a strong enough spring. Now it's not terribly accurate with the streamlines I use because they tend to jink and jive midair, but in close it leaves a pretty good welt.

As for my measuring apparatus, simple. Go to a flat open parking lot, measure one parking space yellow line to yellow line and extrapolate from there. Easy standardized measuring without the need of an 80' tape measure.
