I got my magstrike and did Angel's mod, but now something weird happens. When I pump it up with the case closed, it works fine, but when I pump it up with the case closed and not screwed down, it just hisses and I can't figure it out.

So I guess that means that the fumes give your house an erection or something?

Pictures?
If it only doesn't work when it isn't screwed in, then how is this a problem? Just keep it screwed in.

Don't want to shove balls in tight spaces. Trust me, bad idea.

For sale: Vintage WWII French rifles. Dropped once, never fired.

I think he means if it works with the case on, then it isn't a problem. Do you go into a war with your magstrike open?

You're probably all wondering how to get a range of 95' from a mech 20

I was figuring you threw it.

I tried tightening the hose clamp and now it works closed, but only when there's no clip in it.

You're going to have to locate the leak before we can give any ideas as to how to fix it (if you can).

You're reinstalling the other half of the white shroud that goes over the bladder before closing the gun shell right?

No, why?

It has to be there before you close the gun or the bladder will be expanding assymetrically onto some rather pointy corners.

Ok, I can pump it 37 times, then I hear a hiss. This is probably because I didn't use any goop on the plug.

Also, the hiss I was talking about earlyer (sp) was from the clip area, not the bladder.

Well, you put the adapter into the bladder, and FA said that method didn't work well. You just have to sand down the green nub (the OPRButton) and put glue over it, and sand down the sides of the case.

This is usually an irreparable manufacturing fault that cannot be fixed. Whenever you buy a magstrike you should try to firing it a few times when stock to make sure it doesn't have this defect.

Well it never did it before and I had an entire war with it.

Yep, that santa is actually a hat that moves and sings jingle bells.

Yep I had two of these.

One I tried to fix, the other I sent in.

It is at the back of the pumping chamber. The ... Check valve is in backwards, but you can't get to it without destroying everything around it.

So, make it like this?

Yes, that's what I did. Now fill that hole with lots of hotglue and wait for it to dry. I haven't had a single problem with it that method, and I've had it for like 8 months. It's my number one choice primary, so it gets lots of use.

YAY, it now works flawlessly. Also, Retiate, how many pumps do you do?

If you read the entire thread you will see there is more than 1 part to the write up.
My plug kept popping out at around 50 pumps.
So I ended up using constant tension springs.
No problems ever since.

I don't get my kicks out of you,
I don't feel the way I used to do.
I know its bad,
After what we had,
But I’m just not the angel you knew.

Well, I don't really count, I just pump up until I start to see the plastic where the bladder is split apart, since I'm missing screws there. I'd just try for like 50 pumps or so, maybe more or less depending on your gun. Magstrikes tend to vary from gun to gun.
