Well, one of the two screws on the back of my Recon turned out to be WAYY too tight(On the black cap)

I started doing it with my hands and it turns out it way too tight and i wore it out a bit. So I got out a dremel and tried to use a dremel to remove the damn screw..

Well now its dome shaped and Impossible to unscrew... :)

Now how the hell am I supposed to remove it or even open it up, Im so pissed right now I almost threw it at the wall..

You can get a special drill bit that will dig down into the screw and pull it out. You might try to epoxy it to a metal rod and then try turning that. Of course, you might accidentally epoxy your Recon together.

Here's my opinion. Saw off the part that the screw is on, use the rest for spare parts, and buy another recon.

You're probably all wondering how to get a range of 95' from a mech 20

I was figuring you threw it.

Try putting superglue on the end of a bic pen or other narrow object and hold it in the hole against the head of the screw. Maybe it will come out when it dries.

you can drill right thru the screw, and it'll let you open the case, but a screw will never be able to be put there again.

Drill directly on top of the screw, or somewhere to the side?

I think this is your best opshion(sp?).
But if you want to do any other things i would not recomend it.(sp?).

I went into the choir room today and told the teacher," I can ony sing base" she said," I can fix that" she gave me a prompt kick in the nuts; i've been singing soprano ever since.

Do what Vaan said. I had the same problem with one of my other guns. Drill the screw until you can take off the black piece. If you drill to much then you will never be able to put another screw there. If you just drill the top head of the screw off then there should be some of the screw there and you can take a pair of pliers and twist it out.

This happened when me and my freind tried to mod a single tek. Heres what we did-
1. Get a drill.
B. Get a couple of screwdriver and drilling bits.
3. Drill it out of the back, or other side
D. If that doesn't work....SMASH THAT MUTHA#$@%$# WITH A HAMMER!!!!

Ok I still dont understand..

And should I use the screwdriver drill bit or just a skinny drill bit with my dremel?

This happened with my LS a really long screw in the front of the main gun wouldn't come out. If you are careful, you can pry the shell open without doing any damage. That's what I did.

Ohh crap. I forgot to say what drill bit. My bad. Do you have the drill bit set for your Dremel? If you do then take a bit that is slightly bigger then the screws head and just start drilling it. You should wear goggles when doing this. There will be metal bits flying.

Thanks I managed to get it out

I went to do the AR removal, completed it. .. took 30 mins and was a b**ch to do.
It was also fricken hard trying to figure out where the parts go.

Well anyways all done now, firing sounds much scarier. Cant test ranges because of wind and streamlines fishtailing.. like everyone else.

If you really need to replace the screw, drill through it, put some epoxy putty, and drill a hole there that fits your screw.

If your stripped it, make sure you screwdriver isn't too big or too small and push down enough on the screw to unscrew it.

From now on you should make sure to use screwdrivers that are designed to fit that size of screw. For the smaller Nerf gun screws (usually found in air guns) they're made to match a #0 phillips screwdriver. Larger springer gun screws fit a #2 phillips screwdriver.
Both tools can be purchased for <$3 each and will save you many headaches.

The little critters of nature, they don't know that they're ugly. That's very funny, a fly marrying a bumble bee. I told you I'd shoot, but you didn't believe me. Why didn't you believe me?
