For my first creation of doom from flinging foam, I decided I had to extend the tank for my titan. What glues should I use for this? and also, what should I use for the actual extended tank? I was thinking of something with a 2 liter soda bottle. Any ideas?

You're probably all wondering how to get a range of 95' from a mech 20

I was figuring you threw it.

Think about how long it would take to pump up a two-liter soda bottle.

Ok, If you increase the size of the tank, all you're really going to do is get about 3 shots off if you have a steady finger. That or if you want to increase the size of the valve outlet, or extend the barrel. In a titan with a regular tank, there is still lots of air coming out after the dart leaves the barrel, so making the tank bigger wont do much good unless the barrel is longer.

Two litters might just explode. I wouldn't try them. And as said before, It would take forever with a stock pump, so you would need a pump replacement, and some high pressure tubing.

If you really want to do this, on of the people you want to talk to is Captain Slug. He is rather talented when it comes to compressed air, and I have the feeling that he will shoot your idea down, just like so many others.

P.S.: I do have a titan, and it rocks :P

Ok, well I was thinking of replacing the pump. and the barrels can't be long. so forget extending the tank, but what kind of glue/tubing would I use to replace the pump?

Epoxy always works well for me. I use the 5-minute epoxy (means that it sets in five minutes). You can also use Plumbers Goop, and I'm not sure about this, but MAYBE Fishin' glue. FA24 said that stuff puts Plumbers Goop to shame, which is saying a lot.

Just normal vinal(how the fuck do you spell that?!) tubing should work, it worked on all of my projects. Make sure you get something with at least a 35 PSI rating. I believe thats the pressure that the titan usually works on, not certain though.

Don't even bother using hot glue, as it may hold things together for a while, but WILL leak, unless you put mounds on it. Even then it may still leak.

You do realize that a titan barrel is supposed to be about 2 feet long right? I consider that a long barrel for Nerf.

what i'm planning to do is use PVC adapter thingies that get bigger, and then make a removable 16-shot removable turret, so i'm shooting for small size right now. the barrels will be just big enough for the darts to fit all the way in.

Sort of like the last post on This Page

And if that is what you want to do, a titan air tank will not be able to push 16 darts farther than 5 feet

Unfortunately the stock pump can't be directly replaced easily because it's on such a short length of tubing. I usually just drill a small hole in the backside of the Titan blast chamber and add a fitting there.

Like one of these instant tube fittings.

Then you link to one of these to adapt the bike pump connector to the 1/4" OD tubing you run to the blast chamber. It's called a tube-to-stem adapter.

Ok, well I kinda thought that and that's why I wanted to extend the tank.

Also, thanks CS, but i'm not sure I understand. What part is the blast chamber? could you post a pic please?

You use attach PVC to it and have ball valves to dump air and have better ROF until you run out of air, but I would just attach a valve that lets you choose which tank to release (if you had 2 tanks).

Not sure I understand, could you please clean up your grammar and post either a pic or a diagram?

Considering the diagram doesn't say anything like that, no. You're adding a fitting to the back of the blast chamber so you can connect tubing to it. You can run the tubing to wherever you plan to put the valve, that then leads to the extra tank, which then leads to the extra pump.

Ok, thanks.
Which is bigger, stock Magstrike bladder or 1 liter soda bottle?
And if i'm replacing a pump, just a bike pump is good?

Bike pumps are great. There are several people here and here and more who made a titan with a bike pump with highly favorable results (just make sure you don't break the tank, and definitely use something better than hot glue to put everything together like the others said). The pump I used on mine cost like $5-$10 at Wal-Mart.
