i was fiddling around in the garage when i found a piece of copper pipe. Immediatly I thought of my sharpshooter 2 and went to see if nerf dartsfit in it well.
It was too big for micros and too small for megas, but i wrapped duct tape arround it and stuffed it in the barrel anyways. Micros shot like, only one foot, so i twisted and turned a mega until it fit. I cocked back the gun and pulled the trigger. Now only three words can explain my SS2: IT KICKS ASS! I can fire twice the range as my old crayola barrels!

Let this be a lesson to all you other newbies out there: if you want your mega shooting gun to shoot better get a athinner copper pipe!

Is this your first mod? Is sure sounds like it. First of all, Sharpshooter II is abbreviated SSII. Now then, having to take time to shove a dart down the barrel isn't very practical. I wouldn't use copper. The ID of copper piping does not fit any size FBR exactly. If you want it to shoot micros, use brass, and if you want it to shoot megas, use 1/2 PVC.

i left the top berrel normal for short range and quick reloads. I'm also gonna be carrying another weapon. And since nobody else i no has ever modded a nerf gun i have the best range out of anyone I know. So Grinchie, since you don't know what conditions I'm under, current state of my competition or anything about me cut it with the destructive critisisme. OK?

So the micro-stephans ar slightly bigger than nerf micros?

edit: oh, i forgot to tell you. I attached a piece from the trigger of my sm2500 becaus the little holes hold megas perfectly.

That sounds pretty good, but you might want to try using brass, like Grinchmeister said. Not only is it slicker (to my knowledge) and can get better ranges, it is ALOT lighter. I once put two 9' barrels on my Splitfire, and the barrels knocked the balance off so much it was damn near impossible to keep a steady shot.

I kinda like it the way it is (a good weight and with almost a foot of pipe out the front, except the upper barrel. That I still have to get more pipe for.

just finished putting on the upper barrel. My SSII now looks so much like the shot guns from StarTrek DS9 when Sisko travelled back in time and played out the part of Gabriel Bell. Does a short or long barrel shoot farther?

I think grinchy was try to help you, not criticize your gun. Besides, what's it going to hurt if you listen to what he has to say? Brass is more likely to work better than copper in your SSII, but hey - it's your gun, do what you want with it. He was just trying to tell you what would work best, and I'm going to have to agree with him.

As for barrel length, I'd say anywhere from 4" to 5". You don't want a big arse barrel, but it can't be too short either so that it's not protruding a little from the gun.
