I was bored yesterday, so I decided to make a turret.

Materials

First, some putty epoxy.
Posted Image

Second, an empty thread spool.
Posted Image

Third, your cpvc pieces.
Posted Image

Lastly. a piece of metal rod and some duct tape.

Divide up the spool into segments according to the number of barrels you want.

Mix up some of your epoxy and put it on the spool.
Posted Image

Then attach a barrel, being sure it is on straight.
Posted Image

Repeat as desired, being sure to keep the barrels aligned.

Reinforce as you see fit.
Posted Image

Now, put a glob of epoxy on the end of the metal rod.
Posted Image

Wrap duct tape around the rod so it will fit in the center hole of the spool.
Posted Image

Put the rod through the spool and attach it to the blaster of your choice which should be outfitted with a pvc coupler. Be sure there is space for the turret to be disengaged from the coupler and rotate.

That accually looks really nice for a turret. Only one I know of that better for me is my 8 shot Firefly turret on my NF. Works wonders.

I really like it. It looks very clean and very secure. Is there a good airseal with the plunger or the NF? Wouldn't you need a compression spring to pull it?

Also, epoxy putty doesn't stay on metal very well for me. You might need to use something else, or reinforce it.

Brilliant! Its simple, Easy to do and very effective.
With the right size spool you could turn a crossbow into a manual rotate farther shooting Doomsayeresque weapon of destruction.

Bobafan you scored big points with me by doing this. Thank you.\

Consider this added to the directory.

I don't get my kicks out of you,
I don't feel the way I used to do.
I know its bad,
After what we had,
But I’m just not the angel you knew.

Bobafan: Very nice turret, its easy ,effective, and lookls like it'd get the job done.

FA_24: I do agree that turret on a crossbow would be quite nice. Especially if had some sort of auto-rotate mechanism fabricated for it. I am not just randomly throwing out a concept, I am merely hinting to a close to completed project.

keef-
The seal is just as good as any other couplered blaster which is fairly seamless.
what do you mean by the spring part?

Thanks for the props FA and people.

This is even better because you can adapt it for other barrel materials, too.

Good job!

Nice work Bobafan, this is simple, easy, and cheap.
I think that this may be the base for many other turrets to come.

Thanks for this great writeup. I wanted to do something similar but couldn't find any way to make it durable enough. I think I'll try this one.

EDIT: You mean CPVC for the barrels on the turret I assume? Not to be a pain or anything, merely to clarify for someone who might not know better.

I'm not sure where to start. You've now brought 3 old topics back from the dead with absolutelly nothing to add, you clearly do not speak a common dialect of english, and you don't seem to have much of a gasrp on nerf in general. You have not had an administrative warning, so this is it. Please, use capitalization and punctuation, refrain from posting in any topic that is a month old or older, and don't say anything until you have something constructive to add. The next infraction of the Code of Conduct (again, upper left hand corner under the nerfhaven logo) will force us to suspend your account indeffinately.
