Okay. I just finished modding my old-stlye SM 750. I put in a six inch brass barrell, and plugged the pump. With six pumps, I get about ninety feet. Is there any way I could decrease the number of pumps and/or increase the range?

You could try sprinting forwards and then shooting it as you thrust your arm in the direction of your target.
But seriously, 90 feet is satisfactory, don't you think? If C's 750 is any indication of how a properly modified gun should shoot, your mod is stellar; his gets around 80. The thing is, the 750 is already such a simple, streamlined design that it would be pretty difficult to get anything else out of it without a LOT of hard work- hard work on the valve, etc that would be better off dedicated to another gun or a homemade.
Unless anyone knows something about this gun that I don't... which I assume they don't, I've modified a couple and the only thing that I would do if I was in your situation would be to perhaps put your brass barrel in a piece of PVC for nesting inside a coupler attached to the valve. That is, if your darts don't fall to the bottom of the brass barrel on their own.

I was mostly hoping for how to decrase the pumps, but yeah, I guess that ninety feet is okay.
