Out of curiosity why the fuck do we need a new topic everytime NHQ is down for maintenance? Who cares? The forums are down, so what, if something big happens you'll hear about it. You have NE and NH to quench your queerly distorted post counts. It's obvious, to me anyway, that Spanky has server/bandwidth problems. So be it. If something drastic occurs he'll post something about it here, surely, but a new topic everytime is ridiculous and stupid. I'm sorry if this is comming off as mean or bitter. Ten days is not a very long time at all. The impression I've gotten of you is that, unlike most newbies that come here lost and helpless, you're trying way too hard to fit in by acting "tough" and flaming other newbies besides yourself.

Well, I've been posting everywhere and stuff... I don't think 48 is a lot. But yeah, it doesn't really matter... I took a break for a few days, I've just had lots to say I guess.

It's more than you think. It took some of us a least three months to reach that post count. You post roughly 5 times a day. Usually, the general rule is not to penalize people according to their post count, but it kind of goes without saying that you should shut up and post seldomly until you've determined that people like what you're posting.

Because, you need to stop acting like you're any less a n00b than Waspy, cooldude31, or any of those people. It doesn't matter how much you swear or how much you post, but, remember this now: respect is earned over time. Your post count has no affect on the amount of respect you get. Look at Stefan Mohr, for example. He has, what, 7 posts? Yet he's the most respected member in the NIC. Just remember that.

Very, very true. But, just to clear things up, there is a significant difference between a n00b and a newb. A "newb" is a shortened term of newbie, which everyone outgrows over time. Time can't stand still. A n00b, however, is an arrogant, inconsiderate, spamming, rude, all around pain-in-the-ass. You can't stay a newb forever, but you can always be a n00b. Got it? Some other signs you are a n00b:
-Poor Grammar/Spelling
-Use of AIM speak
-Posting notorious threads
-Extreme overuse of smililes

True, but you don't always post the most beneficial things, and your posts count is a little high for someone that registered in August. I registered in March, and we both currently have 193 posts. Do the math.

True, but I dont post shit that people can't read, and I don't flame very much (if at all).

Where I may not have made a signifigant impact in the community as of now (big things on the way soon), I have madee friends, I am respected, and chances are I would be missed by some people if I left.

I could really give a fuck about my post count. C or VACC could make it so my post count automaticly got lowered every so often to say, 10 posts, and really wouldn't care, as long as I still have the freedom to give insight, and keep up the community's integrity.
