I would not consider this a write-up, because it has no pictures, but I wanted to share my findings.

What I did was construct a 12'' telescoping barrel from CPVC and PEX tubing, using PVC as a Coupler.

To make this cut 2 2''-3'' peaces of 1-2in. PVC, 4''-5'' of PEX, and 7''-8'' CPVC.
Sand down bougth ends of the PEX, and one end of the CPVC. Hammer ond peace of PVC onto the PEX all the way, and one half way, then hammer the CPVC onto that.

I hope this makes sence.

I tested this against a 12'' peace of CPVC as a control.

In the end the CPVC`s darts would indent into 1-4'' cardboard and the PEX-CPVC could not.

This could be refined, but for the work I think it would be better just to stick with CPVC

I hope this helps, if I did anything wrong, please tell me

Don't want to shove balls in tight spaces. Trust me, bad idea.

For sale: Vintage WWII French rifles. Dropped once, never fired.

Its similar to cpvc, but softer, white, and tighter.

White? Isn't CPVC white? Oh wait, nevermind. CPVC is beige. Okay, thanks.

PEX is a cross-linked polethylene (copolymer). It's most commonly used for plant nursery plumbing because it offers UV protection that inhibits algae growth in the watering lines. It's typically black in color, but also comes in white depending on what kind of application industry the supplier serves. It's also a very cheap and easy to use alternative to copper for running water supply lines into homes. But local building code permission of using PEX for this purpose varies from State to State.

The little critters of nature, they don't know that they're ugly. That's very funny, a fly marrying a bumble bee. I told you I'd shoot, but you didn't believe me. Why didn't you believe me?

It's smaller diameter as CPVC (usually) and is very bendy.

I realize this should be obvious, But I'm guessing that you are actually using a 12 inch barrel, rather that the 12 foot long barrel you have indicated. Just to be clear, ' means feet, " means inches. I'm not sure what ` means, but it's probably French for "an arbitrary measurement".

I hope this makes since.

No, but it does make sense.

I tested this against a 12` peace of CPVC as a control.

You probably mean piece, as in pie, rather than peace, as in not what is present in the middle east.

All said, thank you for doing the research! It's nice to know that we probably shouldn't bother. One suggestion, however, would be to use a browser like Firefox, which has built-in, real time spell-checking. It wouldn't have helped in some cases, but every little bit helps.

What is your problem? All you did was perform a mini-bump on a topic in order to obnoxiously correct P.C. III's spelling. Your post didn't seem to be worthwhile at all, if you wanted to do something like that, which is obnoxious no matter which way you put it, then you could've at least PM'ed him instead.

When speaking about a swallow, always make sure you know whether it is an African or European swallow. It is very important.
