ok this gun is decent enough to use unmodified but i think it has great potential
being able to use it as a good rapid fire side arm and also great for angles shots .
and it has great handling easy to shoot mechanism so i tried to opening it up and
did some basic mods on it to try to increase range or at least see how it works



Pro
-easy and cheap to mod
-good for charges

- extremely good to spray people showing how good they doge and taunt you
-shooting in the air to hit your enemies behind walls is very effective with this gun
-small
-be held in 2 styles


cons


-miss fires happed quite often
-not a long ranged gun
-not good against ranged enemies
-only holds 8 (probably van be fixed if modded properly replacing the torrent)
-only holds micro darts(holds speed loader darts and maverick darts/ small darts)








Ok here is the mod i did to it fairly simple but it will do for the moment



1. Open up your over and under



2. Take out both turrents



3. Get a hammer and something that will fit in the small hole on the back of the taurent
(hammer and a small screw driver will do well)



4.Hammer the small X on the back till the peg falls of



5.Repeat till all of the pegs are off( you can decide to alternate it to get different ranges up to you)



6. Do a spring stretch (self explanatory)



7. Take the plunger /tube out (and clean the excess lubricant and spread it through out )
( i think they became slack with this because when i checked mine out there was a big lump of lubricant in the air way)



8.assemble it (make sure gears of turrent is aligned )


and thats your simple and cheap mod of the over and under in my opinion is a fun gun to use

I might make a turrent replacement mod for this gun but im alright with this at the moment

35-40ft max

modded
40-50 ft max

(maverick darts)
45-50 ft

My advice if your going to use it for a war be fast on your feet and you should be alright

ok as you probably know there is no real use for the mech six
so instead of throwing it out i try to get as much out of it ass possible
in this mod i will show you how to use the mech six body to make a manta ray
(used lanard over and under)
reason no trigger to use so easy and fast shots
i suggest using the under shot for faster shielding

1. Open up your mech six


2. get rid of all the contraptions



3. cut the handle of like so..

4. connect the 2 wings to your gun like this




5. Re-enforce with e-tape



6. and your done

I pretty much ran away every time I saw that thing in TRU, but now I think I can look at it with only being relatively disgusted! The no trigger thing kinda throws me off though. If I were to get one, I'd try Carbon's close pin (< that doesn't seem like the right spelling, but word seems to think its fine...) trigger on that thing. Just so you know, although the "manta ray" thing looks really cool, it'll never fly at a large scale Nerf war.

kinda bought it out of interest
gives me decent range and funny weapon to wield around

basically its like a semi auto shotgun
i shoot it under cause over puts me off

you can shoot it fast and use it as a shield

meh only used it once
hope i can use it in small war somewhere indoor

The Manta type wings are pretty cool, but as penguin said, it won't work at a war. The wings will count as 'gun hits.' You just hindered yourself.

Lanard went out of business? It looks pretty good for a first wrightup even though it is a little bulky. I love when people turn pieces of crap into usable guns.

It very well might have gone out of business, but I'm in Canada, where Maxshots have half a shelf devoted to them in most Walmarts. Lanard guns are still alive and well here in the north (It's because it's because the kids today only want realistic feeling 'guns', and the Lanard guns are right beside the Buzz Bees where I am, so I get all the First Shots for myself!)

Nice mod. You can increase range if you replace the barrels. Try 1/2" CPVC. That works pretty good in stock darts.

I hear you bout the shield bit but when i play with friends they count my gun as a shield.
I live in Australia so not much nerfers there .
I do understand the it wont work for big wars .
But as i said i accidentally bought mech six without knowing it was bad
and found the over and under and was intrigued with it not having a trigger
so I bought it and it was crap to .
I merged them to make them at least have decent good enough
for indoors or small wars.

That's pretty cool, although I think you meant Nerf "darts", right? If people would call them darts and not bullets, we could be one step closer to a recognized sport. Think about it, they don't call them guns in paintball and Nerf is basically badass paintball.

Crusading moms all over the world throw away ten Nerf blasters every time you use the word "bullet" to describe a Nerf dart. Please, think of the Nerf blasters.
