I would pick modding just because of the factor that you play of when you mod, thats you might break the gun or if your lucky it will turn into something beautifull. Well atleast thats what happens with me because I always do something unique to my guns that either few, or no one has done before. If your going to ask me why I dont post them its because Im busy almost everyday and on the weekends Im too tired and lazy.

I like modding way more. Its more fun then nerfing, because then I lose darts, lose weight, and then have to fix up my gun later on. They're both equal. Add a "Both" option.

This is like asking "what do you like better, eating or taking a shit?" You really can't do one without the other (okay, not to that extreme, but you get my point.)

I wouldn't want to go to a war with a stock NF, but if you're asking me what I'd rather do while I'm in possesion of my guns, I'd say go to a war. Mainly because I have enough guns to get me through a war enjoyably.

So, you're suggesting that you need to eat a shit, to take a shit?

Stock only war vs. modifying guns without ever getting to use them.

I definitely choose wars. It's all about having fun with friends. I modify guns to help me have fun at wars, so there's really not a point in modification without having a war to test it out.

But that's just my opinion.

Wars. Nothing beats the feeling of victory and adrenaline coursing through your veins.

Although, mods play a crucial part in wars. Wars usually won't reach the same tier of fun unless guns are modded.

Of course, no one ever said these wars couldn't involve guns that have been modded. Those two practically go hand-in-hand.

But...

Stock only war vs. modifying guns without ever getting to use them.

Totally.

I've never had a war bigger than 3 on 3, so I can't really make a fair decision, but being extremely biased on my choice, I have to say modding. In 2008 I'm going to try to have wars that have a bigger playing field than my basement.

This is a REALLY hard choice and that's exactly why I came up with it, to make an interesting poll. I'm hoping for a really good debate on here on why one is better than the other.

Personally, I like wars, but like Ofall' said, you can't have one without the other. I like working with my hands modding, but I like the nerf wars too. It kinda balances out, and that is the great part of Nerfing. :o
And guinea, you are right, modding is awesomely fun becuase you get to mod it, test it, and then hope you are gonna wipe out the competition with your awesome new weapon.

That also makes no sense, why is the war needed to mod guns, the only answer i can think of is motivation to finish your mod knowing it's (hopefully) gonna kick ass.

Honestly? Modding the guns, because you still have to test them with your buddies. Wars are fun, but when you get a small handful of people together to mod guns, you can still have a fun time, even if it's not a battle of Effeminate proportions.

ha ha ha added that hilarious quote to my signature, while playing with my butthole... i would say wars because you could mod all day and have nothing to do with them, or you could shoot people all day with your freinds.

AOTN: more like what would you rather drink: semen or urine. Or, you can mix the 2 to make epoxy.

UMD: that can qualify as a war. It is anything involving shooting darts at each other.

Gpig:Its not bad with pepper.

Is this even a contest? Wars all the way. What good is modding if you can't have wars with 'em?

I love the relaxing and creative aspect of modding, but I have to say, that what drives me to mod something new, to improve the gun's abilities, is so I can use it in a war. There is nothing like having an awesome nerf war, and if you don't know what I mean by that, you still haven't truly nerfed.

Even while only participating in less than 4 v 4's I can easily say that wars are MUCH more fun than modding. Especially when the forecast is 40* with rain, your work bench is in your garage and you have to get ready for OHNO.

The indoor wars are nice with a couple friends. I usually bring blasters over to friend's houses even if all I do with them is shoot them during a 3 player deathmatch with a nitefinder. Why the fuck not?

Outdoor wars = unknown territory

Indoor wars = good substitute

Modding = preparing for either

Shooting friends randomly = Why the fuck not?

No matter what, you are having fun (sometimes freezing fun) with nerf guns that are safe, fun and active toys.

"Nerf on or fuck off."

Honestly, I was shocked when I found out that there were people who modified NERF guns and didn't go to wars. I didn't see a point. I was having NERF wars long before I started modding and the purpose of modding is to give me a competitive edge at NERF wars. To be completely honest I don't really enjoy the modding process. I do enjoy the designing phase (done mostly in my head) and coming up with original ways to improve range, ROF, and accuracy. If I didn't have NERF wars, I definitely wouldn't mod.
