Just as it says. I cant find a single store that has them, even for a pre-order. Amazon used to have them, but it says they're out of stock. Anyone have any ideas?

Yup. I posted it in the thread. I think someone made an account at Amazon, and made preorders. I think the perorders were until the 15th (of december), and not the launch.

Amazon did have them for pre-order for a while, if it says out of stock, they've probably got a limited number that have all been pre-ordered already. And you probably will have difficulty finding them in stores.

They just probally arnt taking any more preorders. Anyone know if the recon actually comes out on the 15th?

I pre-ordered a few and Amazon says that it is to be in stock by the 19th and arrive by the 27th. If they really are out of stock already, I may be willing to part with one or two.

The release date on Amazon was Dec. 15, (a Saturday) and shipped the week after that weekend.

It was never on the market to begin with. If what the warehouses at Fred Meyers, Target, and TRU say are accurate, they aren't even getting ready to ship yet. And shithead with a computer can try to add something to amazon and charge assloads bfor it, assume it was a shithead like that. Here is a repost (for all you that want to speculate) of my CONFIRMED information from a previous thread.
Both Fred Meyers and WallMart have CONFIRMED the Recon in their inventory systems, although they have not shipped from the warehouse and no ship dates are available. For anyone in the Bellevue/Kirkland/Redmond area, the Fred Meyers' warehouse has 937 in stock for all the stores in their region. That should be plenty, and if those numbers go for all the stores you will have little trouble finding them if you get there within a few days of release. Wal-Mart had considerable less info, but were able to confirm it as was Target to a lesser degree. now for the important stuff.
The price is confirmed as $19.99. Wal-Mart has their at $19.96 for whatever reasons, but now we know the exact price. If you are going to look for it at Fred Meyers, their internal SKU is 24257244. the UPC (Barcode for those that aren't familiar with the retail terminology) is 65356927202. That is confirmed, It was given to me by Fred Meyers in Totem lake, confirmed by both Covington Wal-Mart and the Silverdale Fred Meyers.
Expect the price at Toys 'R' Us to be $24.99, traditionally their NERF blasters have a markup of around 5 dollars. Also, call your stores daily, they won't know if they are recieving them until the day before since it is a new product. Keep the SKU and UPC handy if you want to get this when it releases. I will keep in touch with all the local stores as often as I can, as I get new info I will pass it on ASAP, even if it means using work computers for this!
Finally for those too lazy to use the yellow pages, here are the store locator links for the major retailers!
