I guess it must be to help keep Xmas as Corpratalism Day/Season...

When was the first/last time you saw a gift labeled "From: Jesus?"

Actually, "Xmas" started out to be the birthday celebration of Jesus, and since He was a gift to us, we started giving gifts to each other as a tradition. That, like other Christian traditions, is being smothered with secular stuff. Slowly they try to change Christmas to something not so religious. Like stupid stores that sell, "holiday trees" [wonder what holiday that is?] and "family trees" [I guess if your orphaned you can't buy one] And then they went slaphappy with the "happy holidays".

It's just a big movement to put Christianity out of America, and put in evolutionary/life is a party beliefs.

I wish they would do something similar to Islam.

If you feel offended over this and want to argue with me, please PM me rather than letting us fuck up this thread, but that was the single stupidest thing I've ever heard from anyone. Ever. I think the whole political correctness thing is going a bit too far, but nobody that I know of wants to put Christianity out of America, it's just because people are super sensitive these days and nobody wants to offend non-Christians.

You have a problem with people trying to "put Christianity out of America," but you wish the same thing to happen to other religions? Way to go, people like you give Christianity a bad name.

Well, I just got 2 AT3K's today, so I can cross that off my list <_<

1. Maxshot (found an online shop who sells them)
http://www.otherland...hot-p-1701.html

You realize the pound is much stronger then the dollar (since the last time I checked), and you would have to pay for shipping from ENGLAND, right?

Actually, "Xmas" started out to be the birthday celebration of Jesus, and since He was a gift to us, we started giving gifts to each other as a tradition. That, like other Christian traditions, is being smothered with secular stuff.

Not quite. X-Mas was originally a Pagan winter ritual. When the Christians converted them, they used it as a common point by saying "celebrate your gods, but also celebrate the true son of God, Jesus." After time, the other gods were forgotten, and the once-Pagan holiday became the Christian adoption Christmas. For further proof, the shepards in the Bible would not have been tending their herds during that time. The winters in the West Bank were too cold. Also, many Eastern Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus on the 6th of January. This would not be an issue if Jesus' birthday was clearly defined.
It's really starting to piss me off that religious people are broadcasting false information to others. I have no qualms with you for being religious, and in fact I encourage you to believe whatever you want (within reason). However, don't give your religious views to people like it's your duty to inform us of the "truth." I live reality, thank you very much. Also, evolution is true if you are not too blind to see the facts.
Oh, one more thing. I don't care what you do within your own religion, but don't start attacking others. We push back harder. And we don't care who you are.

Anyways, my list:
  • New laptop
  • 8 Mile on DVD
  • New flatscreen for gaming
  • New DVD player
  • 4-GB iPod Nano
  • New cell phone
  • Various materials for building some homemades
  • Money
  • I-Tunes gift card
  • Games for my 360
  • 360 Elite as opposed to my old Standard
  • Recon
  • No dumbasses begging for Christmas donations and spare change when I go to Wal*Mart
  • 2-3 SMDTGs for some new mods.
  • Permission and funding for an 08' exchange trip to Japan

I will PM you, but I must say, yes I want the same thing to happen to "other" religeons! REAL Christians. [those are hard to find] are nice, and peaceful. Islam, [meaning peace] drives people to blow up buildings and kill massive amounts of people. Terror, threats, massacres and such come from true Muslims because their holy book staits for them to kill or convert. No, I wouldn't mind that happening to them. Your saying you would?

Eh, I'm asking for nerf guns, a new skate deck, and possibly a couple wii games. Like, a FIGHT! Deck, or one of Blankdecks.com . As for Wii games, Super Mario Galaxy, and a raincheck on Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
Just asking for a few different guns. Maybe even Legend of Zelda: The Phantom Hourglass, and LOZ Four Swords. Anyone know if A Link to the Past was the version re-made? I can't remember.

Oh yes, I forgot about that. Sorry about my mistake. I believe Christ was born in early spring, due to the behavior of the shepards.

but I'm sorry guys, I've messed up the thread, I'll pm Nerfmonkey but be quiet now otherwise.

I'm going to smack someone with my 9999 special hand if this thread blows up any further about religion. Think of it as an early Christmas gift from me.

I'll do my best attempt to get this back on topic. All I want for Christmas is my B.S.E.E. It's really too bad santa can't give me it until May. :(

Me, Like every other person who enjoys nerf in the slightest, A Recon CS-6. My grandma knows absoulutely nothing about nerf, so on my list I had to put a picture, the full name, and the release date after I told her 3 or 4 times. But anyway,
A recon
a cool ,super fast modifyable, RC car with little gas motor
A dremel (I have to use my dad's)
maybe a spare deck for my skateboard
some more snow than 2 inches for today. This is western washington(like its ever gonna snow again here :( )
AND GEORGE W. BUSH TO GET IMPEACHED. I am just expressing myself. If anyone voted for bush, or believes in bush, please do not take this personally. Everyones entitled to have their opinion.
.....Merry Christmas

If your just asking for a spare, ask for one of Blankdecks.com, they've got great decks, and they're really cheap. I would recommend the house special, or a Canadian Maple.

I'm not exactly sure what you are asking, but yes, A Link to the Past was remade for Game Boy Advance. And, the cartridge also contains the original Four Swords game.

eBay is really the only place to get them anymore (besides the NIC). Once in a great while, by sheer luck, one turns up at a yard sale or in a Goodwill/Salvation Army. Anything over $80 is a rip, though. Good luck searching.

"It's better to give than to receive damn it."

And I don't mean giving to those who are already fortunate.

I think those who are employed count as being as fortunate as I am. Also, many of those so-called "homeless" people are either normal people who dress up like hobos (I've known one who did this, for the following reason), or get $100+ in high-traffic areas like cities and supermarkets. I avoid them for both reasons. Plus, that bell is really annoying (if you've ever gone to a Wal*Mart in December, you know what I'm talking about).

Hah, I'm looking over some of these lists, and I'm blown away by the amount of stuff on 'em. You'd be pretty fortunate if you were actually getting the 360. iTouch, cell phone, etc. Anyways, all I'd like is:

-A couple games
-Rock Band
-A duck without wings and a small guitar

All I want for christmas is:
- To find out what Piney wants for christmas

Oh but really I wouldn't mind a lcd touchscreen for design work (why the fuck would you buy a $1000 optimus keyboard??) from ebay or some shit, but too expensive.
And some more nice work shirts.
That's about it.

I'm not naming names but all the people asking for Xbox 360's (plus a live account, plus games) in one breath and asking not to be harassed by those less fortunate in another infuriate the living fuck out of me. You fail as human beings.

Otherwise keep the practical suggestions coming :(

As someone else said - they're quite thick for PMPs, plus they overheat A LOT. Look at Archos for a new PMP - they just brought flash media to the PMP, so you can get a 160GB player about as thick ( 1 inch less actually) as that Zune for only $300 ( I think ).

If you get anywhere near half of that shit ( and most of it is literally, shit ) AND get money, I'm going to come to your house and beg you piece of shit. And that's saying a lot since anyone who knows me is aware that I'm somewhat spoiled myself.

I was actually hoping to participate in Buy Nothing Day, but since most of my family would see that as stupid, I'm just asking for some music. I'm going to be giving more than getting for once in my life.
