The Nerf Disk Shot, it is a pretty decent gun with power in between that of a new-version Nitefinder and an old-version Nitefinder. What are you waiting for, get your supplies:
Posted Image

-Disk Shot
-Dremel
-Hot glue gun and glue sticks
-Hacksaw
-Handyman #9713 spring
-Sandpaper
-1/2" CPVC
-1-2" PVC/CPVC coupler
-Sharp scissors
-Duct tape (For attachments, will update later)
-A small philips head screwdriver
-Electrical tape
-Craft Foam
-A small ruler (Inches not centimeters)
-A fairly strong spring from a clicky pen

Lets Start with the barrel assembly, disassemble it and take the air restrictor, using your dremel/sandpaper and do this to it:
Posted Image
You should be able to fit 1/2" CPVC inside of the hole you dremeled out.

Now, take your hacksaw and cut a 3-4 inch piece of CPVC like so:
Posted Image
Note: we will be cutting this down to size later, so don't worry about specific size.

Now, smooth down and even out one side of the piece of CPVC like so:
Posted Image

Now wrap your e-tape around the bottom of the smoothed out piece of CPVC until it fits snugly inside the dremeled out air restrictor.
Posted Image
Push the CPVC until it sits flush with the rim of the air restrictor.

Apply a bit of hot glue around the top of the air restrictor to temporarily hold the CPVC in place:
Posted Image
Don't get too liberal with the hot glue seeing as how we will be removing that bit later.

Now quickly, I recommend you get your hot glue gun really hot and fill the canal between where you're piece of CPVC sits and where the air restrictor ring is:

Now, before the hot glue dries jam the whole assembly onto the plunger to dry:
Posted Image
Make sure you hold the whole thing upside down and tightly clench it together while it dries.

Now clean up the hot glue you previously globbed on:

Now, measurements, let me save you some trouble, place your whole assembly in there, screw it in, and have a ruler and pen at ready.

Mark where your CPVC is flush with this ridge:
Posted Image
For Note it is the first yellow ridge, not the second one.

Now make another mark 1/2" up from that one:
Posted Image

Now, using your hacksaw cut where you made your second mark and sand it down to make it nice and even:
Posted Image

Now let's make this sucker airtight:
Posted Image
Carefully smear hot glue into a band around all the key places where air could leak (i.e. where the CPVC meets the e-tape).

Hammer down your coupler until it can't go any further:
Posted Image
Your coupler should sit nice and flush with your first mark.

Now, I recommend you cut off 1 1/2 or so of the rings off your Handyman #9713 spring to make it compatible with this gun. (Sorry I do not have pictures of this part, but it is fairly simple.)

Onto the plunger seal, wrap several layers of e-tape around the plunger head until you get a tight seal like so:
Posted Image

Cut away the excess e-tape from the plunger head until you have something like this:
Posted Image

Cut a piece of craft foam the size of your plunger head like this:
Posted Image

Now hot glue that piece of craft foam to the head of your plunger:
Posted Image
Now lube your plunger head up using your silicone grease and stick it back in there, make sure the seal is adequate.

Before you put everything back in it's place, add a stronger catch spring if you added a Handyman #9713 spring, even add two catch springs if possible.

Just close everything back up and your done! You know have a Disk Shot that can accept all kinds of attachments and such.

I have done no official range testing on this gun yet, seeing as how I'm having misfire problem and need to readjust the catch and such. However, I wouldn't be surprised from the way I've seen it shoot so far that with a 4" barrel extension and a decent stefan it could probably hit 70' to 80'. Another cool feature is that it should vacuum load with stock darts or other darts which fit it well in the CPVC.

Very nice and clean write-up, I'll definitely be doing this to my Disk Shot when my sister comes home with it.

I also did a CPVC coupler mod write-up on Foam-Universe. The only difference though, is that I minimized mine.

I would advise to NOT glue the plunger tube to the shell. What happens if something breaks? Now you will have to fuss with it to get it out of the shell. I made this mistake on my Red Dragon nite finder with epoxy back when it was my first mod.

I don't get my kicks out of you,
I don't feel the way I used to do.
I know its bad,
After what we had,
But I’m just not the angel you knew.

Yeah, I've already learned my lesson about that, I think I can remove with some careful prying though.

I'll remove that part from the writeup, thanks for the heads up.

I was going to agree with this, but I'm not so sure now that I've thought about it.

If does add some vitial/good strenght then it's a good idea. You can rip off hot glue even when it's total dry in most cases, of course if theres any flimsy parts they're gonna come out with whatever you glued in in the first place. I spose it really depends on the structure of the gun and the strength of the spring. Although if the plunger tube screws in like a NF then I wouldn't bother.

I have never used/seen/modded a Disk Shot, although I would quite like one. Unfortunatly you can't get them over here in England and the only ones that ship over here are loads of money from ebay because of the size of the box for the Disk Launcher which I don't even want...

Good write up. =]
