Need Help With Macromedia Flash 8

I am following a tutorial and how do I do this step?

If you have the "navBase" clip selected in the Library then drag it onto the navigation layer on Stage. If you placed it there, select it and with ALT selected drag it to the right. This creates a new copy of this object. Now you should have two of those "navBase" clips on stage. Select on of them again, drag with ALT selected and create two more.


I am basically trying to move a movieclip symbol from the library to the stage. Except when I try to do it, it just doesn't allow me to.

Sure? Never happened to me. Besides, copy+paste does the same thing.

Make sure you have a valid keyframe selected
