You know my story; I'll be there pretty much no matter what, I'll bring as many as I can, and I can probably carpool if anyone needs a ride.

I don't think Elf has been on the forums lately but I can probably speak for him. I'll also just ask him to check this thread.

As for long-term, I think we should tackle one thing at a time. Let's make this the winter break thread and afterwards use it for summer or start another thread for summer wars.

The run-up to Christmas is always tough to find extra time...early January is probably better, if at all possible. But then, I'm the last person you should be confirming with as far as any plans (as shown by my "no I can't/hey wait yes I can" attendance for SPANO). Set a date and I'll do my best.

As far as looking down the road...definitely more wars this year. I'm still going to try and set up a central Wisconsin war as well. The St Paul location is great, but that's a long drive.

Here are some date options for the winter war: December 29th, I think I'm ok with this one, but I have no idea what my family is doing for Christmas, so this might not be an option later on.
January 5, This looks like it might be the best option for me at least
January 12, This also looks good, but the close it gets to me having to go back to College, the more I may not be able to Nerf

I need to check my school calender because I go to a wierd school and we get wierd breaks but I am hopefully game. I can see if I can get some friends aswell.

What St. Paul site were you thinking of? I know some parks that are nearly always abandonded. But they also dont have bathrooms or anything that are normally open.

Tatom park is always empty (I've had airsoft wars there without rasing concern)

Newl (or how ever you spell it) Is deserted during the winter but has more staff and patrols.
Those are the 2 parks I know because I live close to them.

I would probably show up if it was on December 29th or January 5th. I wouldn't mind it being in central Wisconson because I have relatives that live around there. The park location is probably going to be the same place we always use, The picnic area right by the Highland Disc Golf course, Since it's the winter we probably won't have to worry about other people. Another location possibilities in Acorn Park in Roseville, in the summer it's a super busy Disc Golf course, but It should be empty during the winter.

I used to go thier for chuch picnics all the time. They have a really nice wooded area and a bridge if I'm not mistaken.

I could hook you up with my BBB (see page 67-68 of the mod directory) if need be. I will mostly stick to my Santa's little helper.

The majority of us bring more than one or two blaster, so yes you can probably get hooked up. I'll PM you and give you some help and stuff. We use a variety of barrel materials. I use OMC's PETG, Carrtoon use CPVC, Flaming Hilt and his people use 9/16" brass and big PETG, and others use 17/32" brass and other materials. So you'll have to find some help with using guns that work with your darts.

zxnam, hopefully you'll be able to make it out to some stuff this summer.

Here are some pictures of Acorn Park. You can go through and look at each Frolf hole, to see what kinda of area we will be playing in. Hopefully this will be an option.

EDIT: Nevermind, sorry (I was going to say we use mostly PETG now, but then realized Sam had mentioned that with our 9/16" brass. Oops).

Sam: Is our PETG not the same size? I was hoping to be able to make some profit if OMC ever gave out...

Nope, yours has a bigger ID and OD. In fact, i might be able to nest my PETG in your PETG with a little work, if it is the size I think. Can you post the link to the place you buy and size you use?

I looked up the distance from where I live to Roseville, and it is not too far away. I would prefer the war to be in St. Paul though, it is closer and anybody taking me to the war would know it better than Roseville. And I just remembered The Assasins News Story

I don't know where your coming from, but Acorn is very easy to find. It is pretty much right off the highway, not difficult to find at all. I'll have to check and is if it is busy when I get home in a couple weeks. I'll start to update some stuff when it gets closer to the date.

Cause we want to fucking Nerf. Also we won't be able to do anything till the summer, so this is sort of replacing the spring break war. If it ends up being too col, like below 10, we will probably cancel, but we'll figure that out when we come to it.

I too want to fucking nerf too. I guess it can't really be that bad, but I agree that if it is -10 or colder we shouldn't have it. The good thing about wearing all that warm stuff is that getting hit isn't as painful and you can have more pockets without a lot of extra bulk.

I'm actually more waiting to make sure I don't have anything going on that day. I don't think I do, but I need to check with the 'rents before I make this baby final.

I can come. i got the ok from the folks. Also they might stay to meet everyone because my sis started her whole scared thing about meeting people over the internet, so my parents will just check to make sure any of you arent wanted for hate crimes or something but still. You got one more who's able to come.
(My dad joked about pushing me out of the car at 25 mph with my guns and a couple bandileros to get into the mood)
