Ok first off I would like to apologize for such a late response. I haven't been checking NH often for quite some time. Over the summer I started getting really interested in politics, economics, and current world events and I have been on related forums debating them a lot. But I am still interested in Nerf, and I have still been occasionally working on my guns. Just not with the youthful vigor and intesity with which I used to approch nerf.

ANYWHO: I think I will be able to make it. I am excited for it and I can't wait. I will get some guns and darts ready over Christmas break. This is assuming that I don't have one act stuff, or choir stuff, or chamber singers stuff, and that I can get a ride either from FH (which wouldn't really make sense because he would have to backtrack to pick me up) or from Luke.
Which leads to the question: FH, is Luke planning on going?
Screw it, I'll just ask him during lunch.
FH, we are getting together during break. Period.

We are going to lose so many darts! haha!

Yeah dart loss might be a problem, but we'll live.

As of right now I am not sure about what my means of travel will be. FH, hopefully you will get on here tonight. Luke, says that he will probably have play practice. I don't know if I will, but even if I do chances are that I will be able to get out of it. FH, did Mitch say he would be able to make it? Keel says he has Quiz bowl that day.

Hey, whoa, +11? I've managed to get 13 people into a Facebook group for my school, but that doesn't mean any or all of them will show up or even bother to RSVP. I'd drop it to 3 or 4 if we want anything guaranteed. Nice optimism though. : oD Sorry if I gave a false impression earlier.

Okay, just didn't want to get anyone's hopes too high. I mean, for all I know, there could be 11 people from my side. Actually I think MANs is up to 13 people now...

No, I'll shoot them a PM after I finish this. What about Carbon and Ryan?

Not particularily; I should finish a homemade BnA in time but if you don't count that or Orochi, then no.

I think we should resolve game types. I'm not saying a strict schedule but at least an outline. This should provide more nerfing and less chatting -- which I don't mind at all, but we are going to be there to nerf, aren't we?

My suggestions:
A lot of:
- CTF
- Team battles
- S.nipers vs.; but so we don't get ridiculed how 'bout "Tower Wars."
A little bit of:
- That one game we played, it was a FFA with two lives, you could get your second life back but once you were dead you were dead...
- 1 Flag CTF

Though that sounds like what we've done in past wars. Maybe it's time to try something new?
Whatever. As long as someone gets shot. And hopefully it won't be Carrtoon shooting me in the crotch again.

Carbon, is hoping he will be able to come, but won't know until closer to the date. Ryan said something about not wanting to come since Minnesota is too cold during the winter.

The Schedule sounds good. Also Everyone should try to be there by 10 AM, I want to start nerfing at not later than 10:30.

I use a titan to fire arrows. Will this be ok? and If your really worried bout nut shots Hilt, bring a cup. I don't wanna be responsible for a lost testicle. But more importantly, My titan on my LS. Will this cause problems?

A general rule of thumb would be: if you wouldn't want to get shot with it, don't bring it. That being said, there were some pretty insanely overpowered guns at SPANO last summer (ryan's Titan, Carrtoon's rocket launcher), and no one bitched about being hit. Too much, at least. Just use some common sense about how close you can be when taking a shot with a high power gun and you'll be fine.

That being said, winter weather will be decreasing everyone's power, so a gun that is insanely powerful in summer might only be ridiculously powerful in winter. Combine that with heavier clothes all the way around, and it should be fine.

I second what Carbon said. Also, arrows shouldn't really be a problem as they have soft tips. How is your accuracy, anyways?

This is shaping up. For my part, I have one promised attendance (though I don't know about his reliability; this is his first war), and a few who are unsure. Am I the only one currently bringing people other than myself?

If anybody has any spring, summer, or early fall wars you can most likely expect my attendance. I would rather save up my darts (and fingers) for a much more pleasant war in a better time of the year.

The location has been finalized. It will be at the Highland Disc Golf Course/picnic Area/Playground. We also may move to the other playground area that we played at in the first NO SPAM, but that is very close, and we won't move there till at least after lunch.

Venom, you should definitely rethink you decision. You'll be missing out.

I'm out for that weekend...two gigs, among other things. I'm gonna focus on the summer, and getting something going for Central Wisconsin.

I visited the location today. I don't think this war will work out. The location has too much snow that would make this not very fun. It would make us all cold, wet, and dart-less within an hour. I think it would be a better idea to wait till the summer. Sorry to cancel guys, but expect 4+ plus wars this summer.

I guess my decision didn't matter anyway. I am glad that you realized the conditions that are the worst if you are trying to Nerf. I would most likely go to a spring war. I will definitely have all my guns and gear in top shape by then. Now lets get planning!

Not to belittle Sam, but if Elf and I had this war anyways, who would still show up? I think it would actually be harder to lose darts, since, you know, they wouldn't be camo'd in the grass... and we do live in MN; I don't mind the cold...

I have a carful to come if others still want to do this.
