Yes, but I would reccomend buying a Nice, cheap springer like a HBII and have a few wars with some friends before going out and spending the big bucks.

I think a springer is a waste of money, it gives ppl the wrong idea of what airsoft is, but if you dont know anyone that can help you out with an AEG or GBB, then I would also go with a springer as long as its a tm high grade one with hop up

Although you are bringing back an old topic, it is a useful post. Springers do give people the wrong impression of airsoft, whereas it is normally much more exciting squad-based warfare. But, would you go out and spend $250 on an AEG if all you have done is heard references to airsoft? Springers are good for beginners.
