Also, did I leave my toolbox there? I can't find it. If I did, did someone take it home?

Just wondering - anyone particularly for/against a recap site like I've made previously? Unless people found it to be good, I won't spend time doing it again.

Connor, you have improved a hell of a lot in the past year.
VACC, if you're coming to the UofM war I'll bring the plunger handles and install them there. If no then I'll ship them to you by Friday. I'm ordering a bunch of screws with nested lock washers and I can hand you some of those as well. The screws on the stock rods in particular were slowly trying to escape over the course of the day.
I have no complaints.

I've come to the conclusion that I just don't do well in cold weather. Looking back now, I think I was at my prime when the sun came out briefly and it was enjoyably warm. Didn't win but 3 rounds during the day and it only seemed to get colder as the hours flew by. A few lucky headshots here and there, a decent K/D ratio but nothing spectacular. I'll be the first to admit I'm not in shape like I was during the Summer wars. I lost 15 lbs. last Summer from Nerfing and conditioning alone, but I'm pretty sure I gained a couple back from the holidays. I felt sluggish and slow. I did get some pretty nice kills throughout the day - but overall nothing to write home about.
Highlights:
-2x Double kills in the clearing behind the gazebo. Both times was charged while reloading by two people, both times they were taken out. I love my loadout in defensive situations.
-Listening to RAMBO question my ability to place long-distance shots, then promptly hitting the person next to him taking refuge behind the picnic table. The look on his face was priceless.
-Flushing people out of the forest with Kuhlie, Famine and Seth. Perfect example of good teamwork in action - little was exchanged verbally, mostly with hand motions and whatnot...but alot was accomplished.
-Exchanging several good shots with shadowkid all day long. Excellent shots between both parties.
-Various headshots and long-distance shots in the open areas - but not in the woods.
-Getting shot directly in the face by Titankid 10 feet away with a pistol.
-Watching 2 of my teammates trip over each other, fall, then Dark Shrimp killing them both.
-Hearing Dark Shrimp say, "Groove, stop dicking around and shoot someone!"
-VACC picking me up and twirling me around several times at the end of the day.
-Getting to admire and witness first hand the power of the +Bow...righteous.
The cold seemed to have a negative effect on most of the darts that I've acquired over the course of the '07 Nerf scene, the Guru only seemed to fire Slug darts well. Scavenging for said darts in the foliage left me exposed and open for attack, another reason I got taken out. This just goes to show you that you need ample amounts of darts before heading into a round and make sure they fit properly.
-Groove
P.S. - Evil, I am thoroughly disappointed in you.

I actually didn't know that was you making that shot Groove. I thought it was Jlego, who was a good twenty feet behind you. But, meh, nice shot I guess.
For someone who is yet to impress anyone, you're awfully verbal about how little you think of everything and everyone else. It's not endearing.
Anyway, the war was a lot of fun. It kicked off the nerfing year, and I'm just greatful for how nice the day was. I was in just a t-shirt and fatigues all day and, other than between rounds, I was never cold in the slightest.
I'd do highlights, but honestly no moment in particular really jumps out in my mind. I really enjoyed testing out my +bow (no. 2 off Slug's production line). It is a harsh mistress, but once it took it's tithe of my own blood the thing was consistant as hell, and that's really the biggest question I had going into the war.
Getting to nerf with everyone there was great. Anytime Groove, Hersch, Ted, and Slug make it out, I know I'll have a good time. The LCM I take for granted, but none of this is possible without them. Also, I like the way they work it.
I've been a fairly vocal critic of Mil Creek in general, seeing as I prefer a more open terrain to the narrow wooded cooridors, but the place played as fun as it has in a while this weekend. The number of people was just about perfect and the standoffs/brush shooting was not nearly as prevalent as it is when the park gets overcrowded. I guess I'm just glad I made it to this war at the creek, because once the weather gets a little warmer the place will be overrun and less enjoyable for me.
Overall I accomplished what I wanted to. I tested the +bow and my conditioning, and I got some nerf under my belt. I'm looking forward to UMD. Looks like I'll be riding solo (if you guys still have room in the caravan o' foam let me know) but I'll be there. Slug, as always, I appreciate your prompt and professional tech support, hehe.
Looks like I gotta mod some LS clips to shoot my new stefans and make some more darts.
Oh, and that news post on the front is not just to gloat, thought it fills that roll nicely. I will be posting a full review of the +bow sometime the week following the UMD war.

Edit: Thanks for the compliments Slug and Groove! I must agree with Groove, we were both throwing some nice long-range shots at each other all day.
