I'm preparing to construct Arachnobia II and I'm about to place an order at mcmaster.com and I'm wondering if anybody knows what the difference between a Viton seat and a Buna N seat is (in reference to a check valve...part number 6079T53). Thanks for the help.

That's referring to the o-ring material type.
Buna-N is the rubber you've seen the most as the o-ring material used in Nerf guns. Viton is slightly more chemical resistant and is compatible with hydraulic line fluids. It's also a little bit stiffer.

The little critters of nature, they don't know that they're ugly. That's very funny, a fly marrying a bumble bee. I told you I'd shoot, but you didn't believe me. Why didn't you believe me?
