I know this will sound stupid but what is better in spring guns 17/32 or 9/16? I only ask this is because I have found a store that sells brass but I can only go there once, and I'm just being sure so I don't buy the wrong type of brass.

Bring some of your own darts with you, and that will give you your best idea of what you need. Spring guns typically work better with a tighter fit, so I'd lean towards 17/32... but it all depends on how you make your darts.

I can't go. My dad is going by the shop coming home from work. I use 1/2" FBR, so the 17/32 would work best with it?

In that case, it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to get both. Otherwise, I don't know...17/32" may be too tight on your foam or 9/16" may be too tight.

But, you can always stretch your foam in order to make the fit a little looser...so, I would suggest 17/32" if you can only get one.

In all, though, please take other's suggestions over mine.

I don't know if they sell the 9/16. I think I will have him pick me up the 17/32.

Thanks for your help guys.

I actually have one more question. What is better for spring guns: 17/32 brass or 1/2 CPVC?

Well, brass is generally favored for ranges, probably because there's less friction.
In my spring guns, however, I always use cpvc, simply because my brand of foam (md-) fits loosely into it. Shadowkid can vouch for this- he saw at DCNO.

If I were you, I wouldn't mess with the mods, or make stupid mistakes like misspelling their names. I mean, CAVV is really tough on that kind of thing

Same.

Brass doesn't like my springers...

Cpvc works best for me, because I only use stock ammo with friends and stuff. Stefans aren't worth playing and losing when I could reuse stocks.

CDST work great in 9/16th Dayko.

Correct he is, his darts fit well in CPVC. I believe he got the foam at Lowes.

I use all kinds of foam. My Frost King fits best in bigger sizes, ACE fits in smaller sizes, and red foam is somewhere in the middle (this is just through my experience).

I don't use the CDTS that much any more. The Stefans go way farther in most of my guns.
I do get my FBR at Lowes but I can't remember the name brand of it.

I would have gotten 9/16" brass.

If it were too loose, then I'd throw some tightening rings on it.

Anyways, if your stefans are approximately the same size as your stock nerf darts, 17/32" should work just fine. If they are a little fatter though, 17/32" might be a little tight.

Using pipe cutters to create an indentation in your brass barrel. You just tighten it until you get a nice indent, but make sure it doesn't cut through your barrel.
I do this with 9/16" brass sometimes, and I think one of my PETG barrels has tightening rings.
