Hey. I bought this hornet from OMC at DCNO for $1, because it was broken. I took it apart, fixed a leak (with fishing glue), took off the stock barrels, and tried to fire it. It works fine, but the gun only shoots out of 1 barrel. It seems the orange valve piece with ridges (the trigger pulls it) only pulls the first notch in. I'm stumped as to why this is happening and how to fix it. Any insight would help, thanks!

A while back, my brother took his hornet apart and I had to help put it back together.

I remember having some trouble with a torsion spring that had something to do with how that "orange valve piece with ridges" got pulled in.

Sorry if that doesn't help at all (I know it's not very specific), but I hope it does.

Something within the gun is jammed or stuck. This happens to me all the time, so I just rack the slide back and forth a couple times (HARD), and then pull the trigger to cycle through the barrels. Try that first, and then take it apart to see if something got caught up on the trigger system or valve.

I acctually have it apart now, so I'll try what SHA suggested.

EDIT:Unfortunatelly, it didn't work. I don't visibly see anything wrong with the system. The barrel that shoots is the top right, if you're facing the gun head-on. The blast button works too, and all barrels shoot when I use that.

Then that should mean something is wrong with the fire-control system for semi-auto.

When you have it open, and you have pulled out the ridged piece, can you pull the trigger and pull the ridged piece back? Note: You may want to watch out for "exploding" springs, etc. when you do this.

If it gets moved back, there must be something wrong in the air system and I have no ideas about that.

If it doesn't get pulled back, then something is probably put together wrong. In that case, I repeat my earlier suggestion about the torsion spring as well as add that maybe you should post a pic.

My Blastfire does something similar. The ridged piece moves forward when I pull the trigger, but it moves back after the trigger is released. I just assumed there was too much pressure for the torsion spring (since the pump has been plugged) so it just lets go of the ridge. The ridged piece will move fine once I fire the gun 3 or 4 times and pressure is a lot lower.

That's the same set of symptoms mine is facing. I'll try it without the pump plugged.
