First off, Let me say a few things: I know FA24 has done an eagle eye mod that is 10 times better than this one. I also know that not that many people have a spare eagle eye lying around. But regardless, I am posting this, because I was surprised by the results.

What you will need:
Eagle eye
1/2" CPVC
Etape or whatever tape you prefer

Alright, so what we are doing is basically putting a CPVC barrel into the eagle eye's barrel.

First, cut a section of your CPVC. I cut off 4" for this particular mod, but you can cut whatever length to your preference.

Posted Image

Next, wrap 2-4 layers of tape around the middle, or near the end of the CPVC that will actually be inside the barrel.

Posted Image

Now, shove the barrel into your eagle eye, and you're done! It should fit snug into the barrel. If it takes too much force to get the barrel in, then take off a layer of tape. If its too loose, add a layer, and so on.

I haven't gotten ranges yet, because its raining hard out here on the east coast. I will try to get them when the storm passes over. I did shoot it once outside (That wasn't the only time I shot it, but it was the only time I did outside) and it looked to get around 70' flat from about 5' off the ground, shooting a stefan. I know that sounds too good to be true, but I was also surprised how far it shot with such a simple mod. Another note: when I used a stefan, ramrodding it didn't do so well, what I did was simply removed the CPVC, put the stefan in the back end of it, replaced it into the gun, and it works extremely well.

Hopefully I get put into the directory for this! :)

Sort of like a coupler mod, eh?

Well, beware of that e-tape breaking down. After being pushed in and pulled out a few times, it will leave a sticky mess all over the inside of your barrel.

Yeah, good point, although, I didn't actually use e-tape. I used a cheap duct tape, and it works well.

Ahhh, duct tape will do that even faster!

Maybe you will want to consider a breach?

This is exactly what my brother did with his EE, but it was a crayola barrel.

That is a lazy mod and it is very inexpensive but you should just epoxy a CPVC coupler onto it. The durability will increase and the range should also increase a bit.

Considering I just got some epoxy a few days ago, I may do that. Thanks for the idea, F_S.

My eagle eye is similar to yours right now.

70+ feet isn't an unreasonable range at all.

If you opened it up and epoxied the barrel right to the plunger tube you would probably find an increase in range.

I'm probably going to coupler it, I've already made a second barrel that I can switch out.

70 feet with a glue-free CPVC mod? I gotta get my hands on of these. I saw one on eBay a while ago (the auction's over by now, get off my ass), but I didn't know how hot they were. I'm interested in seeing what results you get after a seal mod and a new spring. Nested brass, along with the above, would make this a worthy primary.

Hmm.. this makes me wonder why people bash the eagle eye all the time, it seem's like a pretty worth-while gun.

EDIT: Ohh. I think this is a stock-able gun, now i NEED one.

When the Eagle Eye was first released, it was considered to big to be a sidearm, but didn't have the range to be a primary. I think that was a large part of its reputation for being bad.

I've got one I call the Falcon Eye, pictures forthcoming, it's just an Eagle Eye with an AT2K turret. It works great for me.

Do you use that as your primary? I might use mine as a primary because the barrels are easy to remove, so it functions like its been couplered, that and I made extra barrels for it.

No, I use Sara, my crossbow as a primary. But I do loan the Falcon Eye out to folks, they seem pleased with it. It's fairly accurate and has decent range. It makes a great indoor carbine type weapon.

Just wow.

Seems easy enough. I am going to doubt the range though with a stock spring.

It simple and effective. Consider it added.

I don't get my kicks out of you,
I don't feel the way I used to do.

But I’m just not the angel you knew.
