Ok so, When ever i fire my stock streamlines, they fishtail or swerve off to the side. I know its cause of the hole on the side. Is there any way to make the gun more acurate with stock streamlines? Or is there any way to make the dart not swerve to the side?

Maybe using stefans instead of streamlines? Or just plug the hole in the streamlines with hot glue.

Using scissors to trim the hollow dome off of the tip makes a considerable improvement in the flight path of the darts and doesn't require hot glue.

The little critters of nature, they don't know that they're ugly. That's very funny, a fly marrying a bumble bee. I told you I'd shoot, but you didn't believe me. Why didn't you believe me?

I just put a BB into the hole in the orange dome. This increases accuracy somewhat and it packs a punch.

If you but a bb in it, and you didn't mod the gun, you will get a range of about 2 feet.unlees you pee on it

Just FYI, depending on how heavy the bb is it shouldn't kill the range that much. I used copper bb's and they definitely increased accuracy, but did not hurt range at all. (just inserting one bb into the hole in the tip) And a stock longshot will be able to fire them.

And we've gone over this before, but it's not just the hole in the side of the dart that makes it fishtail. It's the lack of weight on the front of the dart. Think about it, with all other nerf ammo ever used, there is significant weight in the front of the dart. This increases stability, and allows it to fly straight. That's why, if you're into homemade rocketry, you have to add weight to the nosecone of your rocket.

Cutting down the tips helps a little, but not tremendously.

I did this last game for Humans vs. Zombies....and had the BBB spring as well. The darts welted my buddy when I test fired it, and I thought I'd be screwed if someone snitched or complained during the game....and then no one did. <_<

But then repeated BBB wear and tear broke my bolt carriage anyways, so I got a new LS>
