Ok I will start off by saying I am a noob when it come to nerf.
I just took out the sr in my ls few days ago (I used a long knife to cut it out, lol I think that was risky) and I was wondering what types of springs I should get, what will the spring do to the gun(Will iit possibly break it, how far will it shot, and will it make it louder). Also where do I get it and how much does it cost.

Well, you could throw a nightfinder spring in there. Or a 3-B spring.. But I only left my 3 B spring in there for a few days, cause it's loud as hell and I thought it would break.. So the end result, Nf spring > BBB spring.

The bbb spring can go up to 100 feet.
I'm too much of a lazy bastard to test NF ranges..

...thing happens to mine sometimes, stick your finger in the barrel to make it air tight, then pump a couple times to re-close it... If that doesnt work then you have to open it up and pull the rod back. For me I have to pump 55 and I get a shot that can break through soft wood, consistantly.-rokor

Your thread title is kind of contradictory. There's no such thing as an "easy" modification for the Longshot because it's such a complicated gun.

Also there's a sticky for JUST Longshot modifications: http://nerfhaven.com...?showtopic=7527

The little critters of nature, they don't know that they're ugly. That's very funny, a fly marrying a bumble bee. I told you I'd shoot, but you didn't believe me. Why didn't you believe me?

Dude... You just asked 2 stupid questions that could have easily been answered by using the search function. Duh. Try it! Its fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What are you people on? The Longshot was easy as hell to mod... though I'm not sure Hell is easy... Back on topic: Am i just mechanically inclined, or are other people just dumb? (I'm guessing the first one... Considering CS said it was hard... and he is rather intelligent.) Or are we discussing it from a newb's perspective?

The Nitefinder spring may be a bit easier to pull back, but don't forget it will make that annoying rattling noise. I am using that CyberShot radio nerf gun spring (the old one that Ryan201... modded).

I agree with Cs. It had me scratching my head as well. Took awhile but once you can understand how the gun works, how the pieces move, and where they go it becomes easy to mod. Here is a picture of the internals by CS. Hope it helps.

If you plan on using a heavy stainless steel spring from ACE or the like I would check that you reinforce the gun. An example would be the crossbow reinforcment in the Mod section by rayway.

Chill out man, thats how people get banned,
-You get too confident with your posts
-You're breaking the rules you agreed to often and making it noticable
-Getting smart and/or arguing with noobs or aministrators (especially)
-Doing the !!!!!!!!!!!! or ???????????? or :) :) :) :) annoy the aministrators

Dont argue ok cause it will make it worse. I just warning you of what just may happen.

Back to the noob question,
I find adding a Nitefinder spring with the exsisting stock spring and drilling out the Air Restrictor an 'easy' mod for the LS. Although, you'll only get 10 more feet out of it, its a start.
