I know it's been a while since I last posted one of my mods, but school and fencing have been quite demanding. So, now that I finally have some free time, I thought I would post something. This idea came to me when I was thinking about the Longshot. I didn't like all that empty space there was inbetween the plunger and the barrel, so I came up with a fix for that. Now, I know that it is eay to make a breech with no wasted air, but you would have to pull the barrel forwards and then backwards, whereas this is a backwards and then forwards breech, like the LS has.

You might be saying: "Bullpup? that thing is huge!" And, it is, but when I say bullpup I am refering to the fact that it can be mounted on top of guns and has absolutley no wasted air flow, and has the backwards-forwards shotgun motion.

So, If you are now curious about the workings I will tell.
See that hole right there?

Well, that is where the barrel starts, and this is going to get hard to explain, so here is an MS piant diagram for you.

That is sick!
I just bought a airsoft AUG Bullpup too....

The main point of a bullpup is that the ammo can be loaded farther back, thus having a longer barrel with reduced size, like a Famas, AUG, etc...

It would allow a big plunger gun to have the barrel long enough to have the max air output.

Pretty sweet, even though I only kinda understand how it works. I'll bet you someone will implement this with a Crossbow and clip it.

When speaking about a swallow, always make sure you know whether it is an African or European swallow. It is very important.

Does posting in agreement somehow validate your standing in the community? Personally I think it just makes you look like a tool.

Color coding might help a bit with the diagrams. I kind of see what you mean though; this is a great design in comparison to just a simple breech. I think I'm going to do a bit of research on various breech designs

Its not that hard to understand people. The air from the gun comes into the barrel before the breech. NOT in the breech rod. Like most homeade breeches.

I mod nerf guns so they look good. So leave my scopes, doodads, and trinkets alone I like them. I don't mind the weight and I started out that way on toy guns and its not going to change.

OH! Now I fully understand. Thanks Z-man and nerfturtle, that's pretty awesome. I think I'm going to try making something similar. I've been meaning to single one of my at3k's; this would be fun to try it with.

Ok, so in your diagram I see the little hole but I am still puzzled as to how you go about getting your dart through that little hole...

All nonsense aside, this is a really good idea. I might just have to scrap my current titan mis-hap.

The dart does not come through the hole, it comes from the breech behind it, and is pushed in front of the hole. The reason I made this is becuase I have a gun that I am going to put it on that has a large plunger stroke, so if I want to integrate the cocking motion and the breech motion I will have to use this so I don't lose too much air. I'm not sure you would need it on a titan, because they have frickin' huge air outputs.

Just because something has a backwards to forwards motion doeesn't make it a bullpup breech. The LS has that motion, and it's not a Bullpup. People consider things to be a bullpup design when the magazine is located behind the grip.

The point is that there is far less air loss, even when you have a huge plunger stroke.
