Old Pringles cans, foam (as always in this forum, lol), an old hockeystick, and TONS of ducktape. I appologise for no pics, ill put some up as soon as i can, scouts honor! Till then, keep on NERFin it up all!

This forum is generally about homemade guns that shoot foam projectiles. If you want to discuss the construction of boffers or other types of foam swords I don't think this is really the right place for it.

The little critters of nature, they don't know that they're ugly. That's very funny, a fly marrying a bumble bee. I told you I'd shoot, but you didn't believe me. Why didn't you believe me?

I apologise now for this post, if it isnt fitting for this forum. My weapons are made only from NERF products and spare bits and peices I find, such as PVC pipe, electric tape, and the like. I know their not guns, but arent they both weapons, and for that matter NERF reguardless of weither their balistic or otherwise? All i'm saying is this is a NERF site, and I just thought i'd post somethin NERF related. :D

I've got a question, what are people's views on close quarters foam weapons?
Such as this: (mind the bad quality)

I thought it'd be better to post here instead of creating a new thread, if not, I'll remove it.

EDIT: Let me rephrase, do people generally allow them at wars?

As long as you're nerfing with just a few friends, I think they add a whole new level of intensity to nerf wars. I personally think it takes alot more skill to sneak up behind someone and whack them with some foam sword, then it does to shoot someone.

six-five-two: Very much agreed. Why is he so good at coming up with original ideas anyway?

Depends on the war, don't quote me on it, but I think Groove brought a sword to DCNO.

OMC brought one to Apoc' as a joke and used it in the Civil War round.
Crankymonky brought one to the last DCNO with the intent to get some kills with it. He only got two.

I personally don't care if they're used in a war so long as it's a substitute for a barrel tap and not an excuse to get up close and give people welts with a huge boffer.
I personally would rather have my left hand free to reload my primary or use a secondary gun in a last-resort situation. A sword is just too bulky.

It was Shadowkid33 who brought it to DCNO. OMC and I just ended up using it in place of weapons in one round each. Sort of a novelty, an awesome, awesome novelty.
