1. Not really, I add a 1 inch spacer to the back of the spring to get full compression. I do A LOT of filing on them to get very smooth and nice looking parts.
2. No it is all freehand every time, every one is different.

Not to long from now, I plan on making my first +Bow. If you don't mind, I have a few questions about that process.
1.Do you have any little tips/tricks that the original design doesn't cover?
2.Do you have a template for your thumbhole stock?
