[Sponge Nerfer]

Alright, last week I was sick and stayed home from school. Because of this I was in my bed for quite a few hours doing nothing but reading or listening to music. While in my bed I began to form an idea for a nerf gun and thus the E.B.C. (emplaced bed cannon) was born. The idea was to set up a system in my bed that would allow me to fire a at people comming into my room simply by turning a nob up in my bed. I got to work, put the whole thing together and I now have lots of fun shooting people from the comfort of my bed. The design also makes it very hard to notice so the person entering the room is unaware of the guns existence. Here is a picture of my bunk bed see if you notice anything odd....



The only part you can see is the tank and even that you might overlook. I am going to work on concealing the tank soon. Now, here is a shot of the underside of my bed.



Now you can clearly see the barrel and the tank. Here are the controls, up in my bed.



A good simple ballvalve does the trick along with a shrader valve for pressure input.

Well thats about it, I cant say about ranges because it is inside my house with no room to test, however the gun has a massive amount of power, I blew a stefan to pieces against my door and it leaves huge red welts opun the unfortunate person to walk through the door.

I wish I had made one of those when I was home for a week with pneumonia. I guess it works best with bunks though.

The simplicity interests me. Maybe if you used a shorter air tank, you could make it detachable from the bed, and reattachable for when your done, so if you miss the first time, you can rush the 'intruder'.

Speaking of shotgunning, no one has told me if they've used my shotgun dart design in a homemade. If you want to try that (the barrel is certainly long enough) you can see the design here.

(Also, thanks for noting that it was a ball valve, I was trying to figure out what those quick-release kinds were called)

what type of glue did you use ? becuse ive been trying to find a airtight glue

It's PVC adhesive with primer to chemically bond the pieces together. You need more than "airtight" with air pressure homemades, they'll blow apart otherwise.

That being said, don't resurrect an old thread unless you have something significant to add. Ask with a PM, or search...the subject of glues has been covered before.

nah i jus buy guns from ebay mod em or try to make homemades.Its pretty stupid cause ive been to a bunch of toys-r-us near me and they don't sell any nerf guns.
