My magstrike was working fine or as fine as a stock magstrike gets. I opened it up messed with the green clip catch thing and then put it back in. I didnt even touch the other side of the gun. Now when I pull the trigger I here air leaking.
Here is a pic. The air is leaking from these four holes in the back of the plunger/pressure chamber.

The gun will fire fine when the two white rings are not put into its spot. However the gun will fuck up as soon as it is pressed into where its supposed to go. Can anyone help I am getting very frustrated.

Here is a link to a similar RF20 problem video. My MS makes the exact same sound.
Hissing
In the video you can see the rotating mech twitching. Mine does not twitch.

Once again, any advice or idea's are welcome I am losing my mind on this gun.

My powerclip did this. I got it at a garage sale, and it worked for a few months and then only fired one dart. Then it stopped working altogether and that's when I took it apart to try to fix it. I noticed, to my supprise that the piece right behing the four holes had broke off. I glued it, and then the air only hissed out, and did not fire.

Perhaps the hole where the ais comes through into the piston-thing is clogged, it is really small. There might not be enough air getting through, and not enough to move the plunger. My computer speakers got fried during a power surge, so I could not hear the vid- but is the air leaking all out at one, or slowly? If so, that might be the problem.

Good luck,

The gasket is probably messed up, this happened to me as well with one of my rf20's and when I would realign the gasket it would be fine for like five shots then the gun would crap out again. I through it out and got another one...(partially because I through it at my wall because I got pissed at it after the sixth time.)
Sorry if this did not help.

Couldn't you just, say, fill the holes with hot glue?

The holes are meant to be there because there is a plunger that is pushed down. if air gets back there and has no-where to go the plunger wont move at all and the gun wont work. Thats my theory anyways.

I did solve the problem slightly. The little green peice I modified was sticking about a bit not allowing the clip to advance. This would screw with the plunger assembly somehow. Then it would not work even without the clip and safety removed.

So I superglued the green spring nub peice back in place and now it works fine sometimes. It still fucks up sometimes and wont start working untill I have to open it up again.

I did the E-tape thing and it worked great. The clip never slips down now.

Sometimes it will fuck up and make this funny farting sound untill I let go of the trigger.
By then I have wasted alot of air and can only usually fire 1-2 more shots. I just want the firing to be consistant. If I cannot get that I mat have to exchange the gun for another one. If anyone else has any tip or advice it would be greatly appreciated.

I had a similar problem to this. Try messing with the white tube and flip it around. I think you have it the wrong way.

End Result: Bullshit.

After trying to mix around the plunger tube in a variety of ways I came to the conclusion that this gun was unfixable. I bought a new one and it works great. I think the rubber inside that was supposed ot create a seal was leaking due to a tear or hole or lack of lube or something. I was unable to open this part of the gun. I returned it and got a new one. This one is much better. This is a manufacturers fault it would have torn whether or not I opened up the gun. I will be returning the bad one shortly.
