Gets about 35 feet or what the main gun of the longshot gets out of the box.
So the Longshot front gun works like a Crossfire.
To remove the airflow restrictor and to make the gun actually workable you need a Dremel
Open up the gun by unscrewing the screws (don't forget the one hiding under the cocking handle) and remove the reverse plunger part (the one where the dart goes into and the one with the airflow restrictor).
Take a Dremel and Dremel out the air flow restrictor.
Replace and put back together.

It appears that the 'endcap' (with the black rubber ring around it) is only glued to the plunger tube in one spot; the rest of the area can be opened. I was able to carefully pry it off with a flathead screwdriver (although the plastic did not seem to like my screwdriver). The 'glued part' took a small part of the surrounding plastic with it, but by adding a drop of superglue I managed to glue the endcap back on (don't know if superglue is the correct word, as in our country it's called 'seconds-glue').
So if there's anyone (like me) out there without a Dremel, but with access to a drop of superglue, this might help; I think

I no logner have a dremel but just cant stand air restrictors. I drilled mine out with the head of a phillips screwdriver, then took a flathead scredriver and carefully chiselled out the rest of the restrictor. works fine
You might want to watch your spelling and capitalization. Google has a spellcheck feture on it's toobar.
I was cocking my front gun repeditively, and I think I messed it up. It will only cock if you pull it just right. Maybe I snapped something?

He mispelled one word Lancaster, ONE. You mispelled repetitively, so please try not to run around correcting others (particularly on what are obviously typing mistakes and not true English errors) when you can't even nitpick yourself.
On topic now, the gun looks cool. Isn't it big enough to get better performance from than only 35 feet? It looks too big to only get that short of range. It kind of reminds me of the guns from Equilibrium. Could it take a bigger spring maybe, or some bands?

He misspelled:
1. longer
2. screwdriver
He also did not capitalize. Sorry to insult a veteran, but at least get your facts straight before you blatantly insult me for trying to help someone.
Also, I'm not "running around" correcting others. This was the first time I said anything to anyone about spelling or capitalization, and I was only trying to help him out. I now understand that it is not always the people with poor grammar who get flamed, but the people who try to help them, too. I know that you guys like to be harsh, and I have no problem with it, but to be harsh on those who want to help and have been nothing but respecttful? That's not harsh, it's anger without a cause.
And what did I spell wrong? You're the one who misspelled 'misspell'.

At least you can understand what he's saying ok?
if he tpyred liek this ehd hve a probl;em
Just try to use proper spelling and grammar and if you do, you'll be understood much better, even if you don't have good grammar. I don't
A good basic mod for the front gun. I'm still deciding weather (EDIT-OH NO!) to get one or not. If you got any CPVC, brass, etc, you can try using that, though it might not improve the gun if it's plunger works like the Scout's or Crossfire's.

I have trouble imagining a smaller plunger tube inside that thing.
With brass, maybe some o-ring work, and spring replacement, I have trouble believing this wouldn't be at least a decent gun.

Oh yeah and ronster,
stop standing on a box in the park and yelling at me?
Edit:Mine also tends to rattle and the reload handle does not come forward.

I think you need to reopen the gun up again and check that you have the rod in the spring.

I don't really undestand why General Cole is making articles of clothing with my name on it. First it frightened me, but after a few hours I got over it. It seems obvious that General Cole is hoping to have sex with me.

I'm having trouble reassembling the gun. Can anyone who has the gun apart please take a pic for me? I opened it up a few weeks ago and now I can't remember where anything is.
Pretty please?
Sorry for the double post, but does anyone have a pic of the pistol's innards?

Give me a little bit and I will get some pics for you...

Ok, thanks. I put it back together anyway, which resulted in the gun not cocking most of the time and only getting 5 feet when it did.
