Well, this design is semi based on retractable stocks in guns like the Mp5. It uses different sized couplers for the ability to lock forward into place, and when pulled into the next coupler. I originally intended to use one of these on each side, but do not have a gun suitable for that. This design would be GREAT on a sm5k. I'll build another one , using one on each side and post that sometime later. But this current setup is very sturdy, and locks into place well.

Also, please do not take the time to put spare foam in every open space in the inside of a mech six to try and quite it. Wasted almost an hour doing that with no noticable sound reduction.

Looks good. How long does it take to extend or retract the stock? And is it awkward to do so at all? It looks really awesome, this is the first retractable stock I've seen.

Well done!

Not long at all to do either. Just as long to cock a NF or something simaler. I hope to make more of these and perfect the design. Maybe a double version of this for a quaded at2k. I'll keep you guys posted with any further updates. This prototype worked great and the next stocks should be even better.

I'm slightly confused. What is it supposed to do?

That's cool. How much does collapsing it reduce the length?

On the current, 3-4 inches in length. I'd really like to see this type of stock implemented on a homemade gun of sorts. The internals could be housed on both sides in PVC. May add unneccisary bulk though. As stated, I'll be testing different variations of this on more guns soon.

That would go beautifully on a maxshot, very nice. I can't wait to see the next ones.

It is indeed quite nice. I have a bit of doubt about the ability of friction to keep it extended while the stock is against your shoulder, though. I think it would be a bit nicer on top of a blaster instead of on the side, but I understand this is a prototype. It's on a mech six, after all.

You might want use something more like a trigger catch to lock the stock, like I did with the Yellow Jacket
