The Rototrack.

Stock, it’s one of the better weapons to use in nerf, with a high rate of fire and a decent range (for a stock gun). However, when modded, it can end up being an effective weapon as well. All you really need is some cpvc, a rototrack, a screwderiver, and a dremel. First, open up your rototrack, it should look a lot like this:

It can also serve as a picture to put the thing back together if needed. Continuing on, take out the plunger tube, and plunger.

Then, take off the rubber ring, and dremel the nozzle/hole to nearly the width of the dremel tool shown here, which is about 3/8 inches in diameter. I used the particular dremel bit because it makes really nice holes.

Now, do the exact same thing to the little rubber ring. After you drill out both the plunger and the rubber ring, go ahead and glue them back together- I used superglue, but you can use the glue of your choice. Some pics of the modded plunger:

After that, just put everything back where it was, and time to work on the chain. With the chain, you want to drill out the back so the chain has holes a little under 3/8inches in diameter.

Following that, you should make several lengths of about 2-inch 1/2inch cpvc, depending on how tight it fits your darts: if it’s really, really, tight you may want less, or try 9/16 brass in place of the cpvc. If you use 9/16 brass, I suggest lengthening the brass to around 3.5 inches per chain piece. Then, just wrap the pieces in tape and glue/shove them into the chain pieces.

Now, I found that the seal between the plunger and the chain was not the best, so I cut a little circle/square type thing that I glued onto the plunger head, like this:

After that, you just put the whole thing back together, and you’re all set.
I get ranges of around 55-60 feet, which isn’t bad considering it’s a very high ROF chaingun.
