I've always suspected there was a correlation...

I'd like to take this opportunity to welcome our NHQ expatriates!

I'm a Mt Dew fiend so I had to go with Pepsi products even though I prefer Coke to Pepsi.

I just love Pepsi.

1 bottle and you won't sleep for a night. Good for a LAN-Party.

What if we wouldn't vote for either Bush or Kerry ? You should make two options pepsi and coke only...

If you want to stay up there are definitely better drinks than Pepsi.

Of course I gamed almost 24/7 through high school and it takes 3 Dew to buzz me, and thats a lot of pop to swallow.

I say Kerry because I don't care if he forgot Poland.

Coke because I'm from Georgia. I don't like Coke from the can as much as Pepsi, but fountain coke is great.

Hahahah! Nice way to greet a few refugees!

Oddly enough the poll is suprising, I was of the impression that Pepsi was primarily a Bush Drink and Coke a Kerry Drink. Perhaps we could have Pepsi taps at the elections...

Though I don't drink much soda myself, if Jones were an option (even attatched to Ralph Nader) I'd certainly pick Jones.

OFF TOPIC

Sorry if this bothers anyone, just thought Id share my drink recipe that I use for LAN parties, named after the creator of course. "Fuse"

1 can Mountain Dew (Livewire is best, but regular is ok. Havent tried any other flavors)
1 unfrozen freeze-pop
1 scoop sugar (scoop like the small scoops that you keep in the big sugar jar, dont know just how much that is)

This stuff has been described as:
Great for LANs
Liquid Gummy Bears
"God, I just know Im going to have diabetes in the morning."

Good god, that'd give you some serious pick-me-up. Have you tried Rockstar yet? Incredibly sugary and obscene levels of Caffiene, it is the OE 800 High Gravity of caffinated drinks. About a $1.50 a can, but still, very good.

Well the Bush-Pepsi are getting some more votes, perhaps my theory will hold strong!

I also thought that Pepsi and Bush had a stronger connection. My whole family has been a Bush and Pepsi family, and they apparently have brianwashed me as well.

The idea of either candidate being associated with Coke is kind of frightening when you consider that Coke owes it's success more to advertising and image than actual taste. Pepsi has consistently won blind taste tests over Coke, and yet more people drink Coke.
In terms of which candidate I prefer, I decided, upon viewing the vice presedential debate, that if I had more time I would have started a write in campeign to "Re-elect Dick Cheney for President!"

Edit: Freudian slip. Cock Coke.

How about Nader and Gin and Tonic?

TF

Change that to a Bacardi and Coke and I would tend to agree.

(sorry to all the victims of stereotypes)

My deal with pepsi is that it's too sweet, I tend to like a bitter drink more than sweet, unless it is obnoxiously sweet like Rockstar. But for everyday drinking I'm one of the folk who likes their tea and coffee as black as the night.

But granted, Coke has one hell of an ad campaign and I tend to dislike what corporate monsters they and Pepsi are. Then again, I'm also a Micro-brew guy, so my opinion is freaky-biased.

(The score so far is:

Hyphens: 2
incorrect casing on certain letters: 3)

Anybody drink ginger beer? Reed's Extra Ginger is the best. It's like root beer but with ginger instead of sarsaparilla. Nice bite to it.

Trader Joe's brand Cream Soda rawks.

Though come to think of it, my absolute favorite guilty pleasure (topic: beverages) would have to be the Disneyland version of the mint julep. Sugary spearmint goodness! I've spent 3 or 4 straight hours alternating between Pirates and the mint julep bar right next door.

Then there's Bawls on the energy drink front...

Damn, I like too many beverages. Can we just change the domain to SodaHaven?

I never liked giner beer, but my ginger beer experience is limited to Stewart's. Oranges and Cream has always been my favorite. For beverages I prefer Livewire and Bawls and occasionally Redbull when the former two are not available for cold caffine. Good cappucino with a little sugar, espresso, and dark roast coffe for hot caffine.

Well, since Bush was arrested for cocaine Possesion in 1971(maybe 1979) forgot, I'll check it later. Well, is the Bush and Coke option supporting illegal drugs?

Remember, there is a reason my political ideology has the same root as the word Liberty.
Liberalism=liberty.

Gay's aren't second class citizens, let your vote support freedom.
How offensive was it when Bush said he believes in the sanctity of marriage?

Ginger beer?

Well, my favourite beverage is something called "Ginger Ale". It's made by Canada Dry, Shweepes, and others. Maybe it's like your ginger beer? I was always told it was only for when you were sick, but I just love it too much.

I did like Root Beer too... but my mom ruined it for me by only buying that.

That's all that I can say in this topic though, because I can't really think of any way in which I can talk about your presidential candidates and their ties to cola products.

Sorry man, it's not for youngin's.

Plus, I hear you have to have a pilot's lisence to drink it ;). I guess if you drink it alot, you must have a frequent flier's card.

Red Bull- It gives you wings!

I didn't like it very much. Another British drink is called Iron Bru. It's one fucked up drink, but it's pretty good. My Scotish friend always drinks it... they are addicted to that stuff.

Wait a minute, I thought they were addicted to Stout Ale- damn stereotyping again. I need to stop doing that.

Well I support Gay marriage as well, but what about furries? I personally think we should restrict animal-costume ownership. Any group that makes up words like 'Yiff' shouldn't be allowed to make up words for one thing. Replace it with a more outward "two guys wearing a horse costume for reasons other than a lame costume, if you get my drift." It's only 18 words. But no, they compacted it to a confusing and infuriating single word.

Does that make me prejudice? Probably.

EDIT: Shit, forgot to make my post relevant. Well the Bush-Pepsi folks are starting to take a stand, so perhaps my theory will prove correct.
