GPS: 75 Cliff St, New Haven, CT, 06511
Park across from the address above and walk into the park with the stone wall. Walk up the hill to the left. We will be set up near the fire pit.

Who: Hosted by JLego, Duxburian and myself with support from Alphatrooper

What to bring:
Protective eyewear
Darts- Stock darts or Slugs (a moderate amount, its a small area and we will dart sweep often enough)
A primary nerf blaster, preferably with a hopper.
A springer pistol
Water
Sunscreen
Backup primary
Cash for pizza or a packed lunch.

What not to bring:
Sceptors, titans with less than 6 barrels, blasters painted black or which otherwise look like guns, homemade airguns (including drain guns and other non-toy airguns), modded supersoakers, melee weapons, shields.
Guns with plugged pumps that were designed to shoot anything larger than a mega dart. (LBB/BBBB, Signal Launchers, UMBs etc.) Relocated pumps must include a stock OPRV and must have comparable range and performance to the same blaster with a stock pump.
Darts with exposed metal, glue domes, anything other than stock darts or slugs.

The raffle thing is neat, but I don't think we need to do it every time we play. If you really want to do it, why don't you explain how it works and then people can decide whether they want to participate and what they want to bring.

How the raffle works is that you put an item in and everyone that does gets a number and is then drawn. First gets their choice of anything in the pile and keeps going until there is nothing left.

Strong storms forecast after noon, best chance in the middle or late afternoon. Please try to get there on the earlier side rather than the later side, if possible, so we can get a good amount of rounds in while the weather is nice.

Thanks to everyone for coming out and braving the stifling heat and humidity and the storm to come and nerf. Good to see new people coming out in this area, who knew New Haven Connecticut had so many nerfers? Thanks Zach for handling a lot of logistics and checking on the site early Saturday morning.

My only complaint is that we could do a better job of packing up and cleaning up. Even if the weather is looking nasty, we need to do a solid dart sweep and trash pickup. Right after everyone left, the rain let up and Zach and Mr. Fatrooper were left dart sweeping and packing up the garbage and equipment by themselves. We need to do a better job of leaving this park at least as nice as we found it. It's a great venue and it would really suck if we got kicked out by the parks service because of some litter.

Two things happened that we couldn't control. The first being the weather. That prohibited us from playing certain rounds and forced us to end early.
The fair was a competing event which limited our playing in certain areas of the park. However, Miguel and Lucian were able to find some free stuff and they had fun with it.
People didn't have enough darts.
I broke Robert's 4B handle.
Pumpbow stock broke.
No carpe even though we had two sets of stuff.
Never enough pizza.

Now for the good things:
We had five new people go to the war! This greatly improved the pool of nerfers we can expect to see at future NENO events.
Meeting and talking with everyone new to NENO.
Having a really fun time in freezetag.
Defence CTF.
Seeing everyone and testing new blasters.
I think this was a successful war and thank you to everyone who was there. Big thank you to Phil Langley for the tread and helping with the war. I will post my video and pictures in a few days of the event.
P.S. My dad and I dart swept the entire field and I have 1,300 darts which I can distribute at the next war. See you guys soon!
