So is this a Canadian spring or a McMaster spring? I'm surprised the PT doesn't shoot itself out of the shell. Very nice use of limited materials overall.

It looks like he has a screw through the shell above the handle to secure the PT, similar to how people secure NF rifle PTs. Very nice work MIG; I really like your plunger rod design.

I don't have access to McMaster Carr up here in Canada. It's from a local company here in Ottawa, Canada that's catered towards professional contractors, "Brafasco."

They sold me a whole box at cost in exchange for a couple of my nerf toys.

Thanks. I'm particularly proud of that little discovery. It works really, really well. I've shot off more than 500 rounds and see no signs of wear or stress. The weight difference between this and my first CPVC attempt are night and day. At my springs' 62lbs rated load, I don't see a [k26] doing any damage to it either.

@ MIG That's one heck of a blaster you built, absolutely insane.

@ Goldie He said in the video that he took in the Hurling (Think that's how it's spelled) rink that it clears the 150' rink with no problem.

Interesting side note, in Canukistan, Hurling is a sport, in the USA, Hurling is a side effect of a night of binge drinking.

That would probably be unnecessary since we Americans have access to Mcmaster. If one of us were to replicate this, it would be a lot easier to do so because we wouldn't have to Macgyver all the parts. MiG's ability to substitute nearly every part of this project with dollar store and thrift store type items is just astounding nonetheless.

Agreed. I just found the Plunger Tube on McMaster Carr. #: 8585K18 I am sure we can find a plunger head too if someone checks the measurements.

Also, if those pictures ever go down, there'll be nothing left. I've seen some old writeups whose pictures have disappeared. Most of them still had their text, but they were still difficult to understand.

Awesome Technique!!! Basically a SnapBow but for people who don't want to spend or don't have the money to buy a ton of PVC.
