I have been working on refining my rocket design over the last year or so and I think I am ready to offer them to the public if there is interest. I would need to make a fairly large initial investment for materials, so it may take a while to put in to place. Please answer the questions truthfully and feel free to post your thoughts below.

I have a corner case - I've absolved my Titans inside the missile launching nozzle, so it can still fire the missile or it can fire 3 darts.

And, yes, I do have 4+. Before anybody decides to d-baggify, here's proof:

On topic, I would be interested in rockets. I enjoy them but only having a couple limits the fun factor.

From a dataset analysis perspective, there are two reasons to care:

1. This is a missing category.

2. There is no way of knowing which category the surveyed individual will choose, so the results aren't as reliable.

However, these two questions seem to be more introductory than the key question (would you buy some long-range missiles), so the discrepancy isn't as important.

Or, put it another (tl;dr) way:

If he wants accurate results, he'd care.

I voted yes on the "would you be interested' bit, but I wanted to qualify it. It would depend greatly on what kind of setup was required to launch them, how well they performed and the durability, safety and cost of each projectile. If you have to build some kind of crazy setup using expensive or hard-to-find parts (not likely, but you never know), I would have to say no. If they don't go all that far, if they fly apart after a dozen or so shots, or if they cost more than dinner for a family of four at McDonalds, I would have to say no.

Basically - a lot depends on the product and the price.

I choose to interpret this as a comment about the other poll, where I "d-bagged," I guess. I also choose to interpret it as hilarious, because you are getting superior over being called out over something you very deservedly got called out on.

He just wants to know how many Titans there are. If they are stock, then they're stock, and the person votes stock. If they are modified in some capacity, even the barrel mods (which no one needed to know about), then they are modified, and no longer stock. The distinction between stock and not-stock is very simple and I would hope a competent adult (I hope that isn't too presumptuous) would have enough fuzzy logic to determine what he should do, instead of overanalyzing everything.

I totally understand that. I haven't done too many long-term durability tests yet, but so far they hold up better than the stock Titan rockets I have. I am getting a a vast range difference depending upon pressure and exact design, from 60-100ish feet. As for cost, a few dollars each. I have personally tested point-blank pain tests and found them to be mildly uncomfortable. Kinda like missing a football catch and it hitting you in the chest. They are constructed of various types of foam.

Pics or it didn't happen. Seriously though, a video or at least some photos would be nice. Also, an explanation for why it would make a difference whether the titan is stock or modded, so that people who have done Weird Shit to their titan know what to tell you. Do these fire from a titan...nub...thingy? Also, do these get 100 feet by gliding slowly through the air? What kind of velocity are we looking at?

I am also really interested and have experimented with custom rocket making. Have you tried curling fins to create a spinning motion? I found that it really helps with the velocity and accuracy as it does not wobble as much and it spins in flight.

Yes I would seriously look into buying some rockets from you if they do what you say then can do!

Distance is great, but how accurate are they? A Streamline can end up 100' from the blaster, but also 20' to one side or the other. If they're accurate and $5 or less, put me down for $20 worth.

That was more to find out whether they are using the titan for the large ammunition still or not.

No, in fact the Titan would require a modified barrel, as these missiles are designed to be used with the Nat-Geo, Roto-Rocket, Estes Air Rocket, and Iron Man Rocket blasters in mostly stock form. The others were just large volume blasters that would also be capable of launching them. I suspect that Lazer Tag Master Blasters, PulseStrikes, and possibly plugged Big Blasts will also be options with the correct barrel.

Come on Langley... They have no lifting surfaces, thus they will fall at roughly the same rate as a dart traveling the same distance. They are quite a bit heavier than stock Titan rockets and are a little smaller. Yes, they are rather quick.

Yes, angled fins do seem to make a difference in the accuracy and are part of the design.

I have yet to modify one of my (many) Titans to accommodate these rockets, they are simply the most common blaster that is capable of propelling them. In addition... Why would you NOT plug a titan if you are using large ammunition?

They do tend to catch crosswinds more than darts, but the scale makes them less prone to veering off course due to slight surface aberrations.

Certainly it is a major concern. As I said, though, they do seem to be holding up far better than my stock Titan rockets and are firing from much higher pressures.

What're your launch platforms, if you've not modded your Titans? I'm curious as to what the 'interface' needs to be - 1/2" PVC coupler, 3/4" barrel, etc. At this point, the price-per-unit would be the only thing that could break the deal, otherwise I'm in.
