This is probably a stupid question, but are SNAP variants allowed? There was no mention of them in the OP, and from the war footage I've seen in the past I didn't notice anyone using them. I'm building some SNAPs as loaners right now and figured they were okay because of their wide acceptance.

Do you need mobstacles? I was thinking about building some for our local wars anyways.

Also, Dave and I are bringing two guests (total).

SNAPS are normally allowed, unless coop decides to be a Nerf Nazi.
Mobstacles are always welcome, the more cover the better.

Generally speaking, as far as homemades are concerned in Nerf Wars, springers are totally fine, while homemade air guns are not (many, MANY ways to make them unsafe). As always, there can be exceptions, but that's something that you should ask the host about (don't assume it'll be approved). And as Coop said, if it gets approved, but ends up proving to be unsafe (you're bruising everyone with it, etc), the host can tell you to use something else.

If it is a single barrel - it may not be allowed. If you were to shoot a single dart out of it when the rules are so clear, we'd ask you to leave.

SNAPs are allowed assuming they get a range similar to other SNAPs. I don't think I've ever seen a springer that shoots TOO hard, so you'll be fine.

As Prince Valor said, the more cover the better. There are lots of trees in the area so they aren't NEEDED (so don't feel pressured to make them), but they will only help.

I can't tell if this is a serious "maybe" considering you live in Tennessee, but I'll mark it down.

There is a decent chance of me making it to this, and if I do I will be bringing a guest.

My brother and his wife life in Columbus, and I've talked my wife into making a visit that weekend. Now we are just waiting to see if my brother's busy schedule allows it. If so, I'm in, and so is he. :D

I didn't see any mention of melee weapons in the rules. Will they be permitted? (boffers, etc) The lack of shields will make them somewhat less useful, but I always like to bring anything I might be in the mood to use if it is "on the menu" so to speak.

Melee weapons are allowed. They must be foam or something soft enough to not cause injury when hitting at full force.

Sweet. My boffers are definitely in the "safe" category. Now I only need to decide whether to bring the "Overcompensator" or not.

Anybody from the Huntington, WV area want to give me a ride to this? I would take a train but Amtrak doesn't go into Columbus.....
There is no such thing as overkill. There is only cost efficiency.

You just made my pants move :)

Also, I will have a trunk full of blasters. I'm currently low on money and space in my shop, so I'm pricing my items to sell (cheap blasters and great combo deals!)
