Do you need mobstacles? I was thinking about building some for our local wars anyways.
Also, Dave and I are bringing two guests (total).

SNAPS are normally allowed, unless coop decides to be a Nerf Nazi.
Mobstacles are always welcome, the more cover the better.

Generally speaking, as far as homemades are concerned in Nerf Wars, springers are totally fine, while homemade air guns are not (many, MANY ways to make them unsafe). As always, there can be exceptions, but that's something that you should ask the host about (don't assume it'll be approved). And as Coop said, if it gets approved, but ends up proving to be unsafe (you're bruising everyone with it, etc), the host can tell you to use something else.

As Prince Valor said, the more cover the better. There are lots of trees in the area so they aren't NEEDED (so don't feel pressured to make them), but they will only help.

My brother and his wife life in Columbus, and I've talked my wife into making a visit that weekend. Now we are just waiting to see if my brother's busy schedule allows it. If so, I'm in, and so is he.
I didn't see any mention of melee weapons in the rules. Will they be permitted? (boffers, etc) The lack of shields will make them somewhat less useful, but I always like to bring anything I might be in the mood to use if it is "on the menu" so to speak.

Melee weapons are allowed. They must be foam or something soft enough to not cause injury when hitting at full force.

Sweet. My boffers are definitely in the "safe" category. Now I only need to decide whether to bring the "Overcompensator" or not.

Also, I will have a trunk full of blasters. I'm currently low on money and space in my shop, so I'm pricing my items to sell (cheap blasters and great combo deals!)
