Consider it a bottled universe under the magnanimous control of Ryan McNumbers. Trying to redefine the foundation of said universe will ultimately result in the cessation of your existence within it.

I'm just breaking this into two posts so it's not all on the main page. Everything that follow's is Ryan's. -Langley

For those who missed the contest criteria.

We added a Safety category, which was an additional possible 5 points from each judge. Each person could have potentially scored 180 points, 60 from each judge.

We wanted to individually comment on each entry but it's definitely way too much work for us, and some entries there isn't much to say about. We may bump up some of the threads with some of our opinions on the blasters since we refrained from comments on the entries due to possibly giving someone an unfair advantage.

Winners will be contacted about their prizes.

I thought you were joking when you said you gave out negative scores, in the irc. I congratulate everyone who entered, and I look forward to seeing another similar contest in the future. I can always make a more ridiculous blaster.

LOL. I expected a few problems with mine, but Kane really had it in for those airguns :P

Congrats, guys!

Some shout-outs/things that impressed me:

Best Photoshop Skills: JSPB - Mad Ghost 3DBBQ
Best writeup: JSPB - Mad Ghost 3DBBQ
Blaster I'd Most Like To Steal: Pump Action 5k Louic3
Blaster Most Likely to Be Responsible For a Building Evacuation: FOMAS 2.0 by Whisper101
Best Progress Towards Not Having To Machine Tubes: U-Channel Blaster by Cheerios
Most Technically Impressive: SCUNBAG by Roboman
Cleverest Mechanism I Didn't Understand: Rainfire trigger by Atomatron

I'll keep editing more in as I remember them.

Just FYI on my scoring, any airgun without an OPRV got a terrible safety score, any airgun without a pump got a terrible effectiveness score. Also, any blaster without any feed mechanism attached also got a poor effectiveness score, even if one could be attached later.

Correct me if I'm wrong but while you mentioned my internal catch ring blaster it does not appear to have been scored. I know it most likely isn't a winning design, but I would like to know its score.
17:54 Noodle Yes what he did was stupid
17:54 Noodle but it's a plastic toy
17:54 Gears BUT IT COULD'VE BEEN MY PLASTIC TOY

I just have to ask what made the "really cheap homemade" lose a point in the safety category? Clinking on the link to that blaster made my day.

↓ Hold up, upon a second viewing I realized it was regular coke. Perhaps a 2 liter of diet coke would have scored higher!
