No, I'm not dead or retired.

The last two wars I went to I had to sit out several rounds while repairing a blaster so I decided my next blaster will be a mod that can be transferred to a NIB blaster with as little trouble as I can figure. This is probably not going to be a primary but Its fun.

Finished blaster.

In theory I can pull a NIB mallow crossbow, take 8 screws out, add a tiny bit of rubber cement and be nerfing in 5min.

Nifty! Ranges? Very interested in this, though I had a momentary lapse of judgement and saw Metal Crossbow as the title.

has anyone flipped the bow arms on one of these? or will they break?

My little brother has one of these that I'm pushing him to finish– it's all painted, he just needs to fix up his coupler mod and reassemble.

The bow arms seemed a little weak to flip– maybe you could add some reinforcement? Like bending strips of metal and mechanically attach?

Or scrap them entirely and add an extension spring on the inside of the plunger, like the SNAP Revolution or SonReese's inverse plunger mod

If I change anything Im going to surgical tubing. no arms or springs, all worthless compared to bands.

Or solid wood arms with tubing on them so it still looks awesome like a crossbow?
