An 8-acre neighborhood park that includes a large play area, picnic shelter, two tennis courts, a softball field, and basketball court. The park is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Hotels in this area are pretty cheap, starting at $60/night. I would recommend SpringHill Suites Dulles Airport.

I can get out to the Vienna Metro but I don't think the buses run out to Herndon on Saturdays.

EDIT - I can get out there on public transportation, but it takes three buses and about 30 minutes on Metro. Ouch. If I can get a ride it would be a heck of a lot easier for me to make it, but if not I'll try to hobo it out there.

Any 950 bus will get you to the park & ride. Either someone can pick you up from there, or you can take a bus from there to the park (can't remember which one). If you have a bike it's a pretty short trip.
