Nerf Recon M4, Not really functional, but aesthetically pleasing... Options

I haven't seen this anywhere else on NerfHaven, probably because it does nothing to the efficiency of the gun. It does, however, make the gun look a lot cooler in my opinion.



Basically it's the Longshot barrel extension (I did the frontgun integration, and therefore didn't have any use for the extra barrel) put in the Recon's extension shell. As I said it does nothing for efficiency, it actually makes the gun fire shorter than it usually does. But the close-in fighting my friends and I do makes range unecessary. And it sorta looks like an M4; at least I think so. I have made a shorter extension since I took these pictures so I'll be posting more pictures shortly.

Oh , the fore grip is a longshot scope's rail attachment, with a peice of 3/4" PVC pipe epoxied to it.

EDIT: More pictures. The short one is the "commando" variant. Basically just a cut down version.


And the insides (of the smaller one, one of the screws is damaged on the bigger one, so I couldn't get it open).


It seems pretty self-explanatory. I would do a complete write-up, but I don't have anymore extensions.

Looks cool, but you should add a flashlight on the foregrip, and give it a nice PJ.

This is really cool and simple. I just finished doing it to my recon. Looks nice and as for the range loss...well its a recon so I wasn't expecting much in the first place.

Along with a cool paintjob, you could also do the superclip mod. It'll give you a more practical longer clip and make the gun look more like an M4 at the same time...I think the recon looks more like an HK G3 though...

I really like the "Commando" one. I've got so many of those Recon barrels laying around I might have to make one. I kinnd reminds me of my extended ond I made for my Extra Longshot.

Do you still have to triggerpart from the LS frost gun cuzbecauseu could take out the trigger mechanism and just super glue that onto the barrel extension and the the handle ill be more comfortable. Thats what i did.

That would be the LS front gun Barrel to be precise, I did it to my ODST Recon, and I think it does look like the G3. Now all you need to do is make it Automatic

Wow. I just did this a month ago. M411A1 SOPMOD, right? I'm working on stuff for that, too. Nice barrel idea, I'll try that out on my new recon.
