Could you give approximate dimensions of the room? It seems a little small to be using guns that can get much over 80'.

I don't know the exact dimensions. I think my pictures were badly angled, so that's why it looks small.

Unfortunatly, my mom is opposed to parks. She doesn't want to be "judged" by the community.

EDIT- The room's is larger than 50 x 30.
I have an idea. If our numbers are bit too large, we can have a section of us (I'm thinking 1/2) play, and the other sit out. I doubt this'll happen, but this will be a countermeasure just in case. The room will fit 90 people pretty good, so 20-25 there shouldn't be too much of a problem. Guns that could clear across the room can be used, it's not like we'll be 20 feet next to each other during encounters. 40-50 ft is much more probable. Even if someone tries to "eat shit" (Self Filter!) The obstacles will provide adequate cover for advancing.

If you're referring to the pics in the first post, there's no way those tables are longer than six feet. In the video there's a few more squarish tables against the walls which might be as long as eight feet. Ten foot folding tables are almost nonexistent.

What does your mom's opinion of nerfing at a park have to do with the war actually being there? Whether or not the tables are 6' long ( which they probably are considering they only accommodate four chairs ), you still have a very small room ( definitely not more than 70' long and maybe 30' wide ) for an attendance list that suggests you will likely have as many as 25, maybe even more than 30. I was considering attending if my supplies arrive by Friday, but not if it's going to be a 6-hour indoor war where I might have to sit out around 3 of those hours. No offense, but 3 hours driving for 3 hours of nerfing is not really that fun a day. Not sure if other people feel this way or not too, though.

After reading your edit, Echnalaid, I wonder how you think 40-50' are reasonable range estimates. Even if the room is 60 or 70' long ( not sure how that'd be possible ) you'd more or less have to be standing against the wall to be hit by a shot at 40-50'.


Skitzo, since velocity is a measure of change in distance over change in time it is not necessarily true that two 150' guns have the same velocity. If one gun fires a dart that reaches 150' in 2 seconds its velocity is much higher than that of a gun that reaches 150' in 4 or 5 seconds.

Obviously velocity is not that simple for every application, but that's the first thing you learn about it ( or that's the first thing they teach about it at my community college, anyway ) so I figured I'd mention it to Skitzo, first.

They're under her care, because this is technically a "Birthday" Celebration. I'll try my best to convince her that if we just "Hang" at a park, she's not responsible.

I guess I'm still missing the point... if it's a "birthday celebration" that makes her responsible, then presumably she's just as responsible at any venue... tell her that 30 people nerfing in a room that small is less safe than playing at a park?

Alright, so here's the plan. The hall is going to be tight with as many people as we're going to be having. So we're going to split it up. We're not taking suggestions on how to change this or make this better, so don't bother. We've tried all of our options, and this is the best compromise within the restraints.

The LGLF is going to be hosting a war, running at the same time, at a park near by to the VFW site. If you'd prefer to play outdoors, we'd be glad to have you. We'd like to "stop by" the VFW place and give birthday wishes to Echna, and I personally hope to get in at least one round of indoor.

Echnalaid will not be at the outdoor war, for various reasons. Neither will his friends. Which means if you go to the indoors, there will be at least 11 people.

I will be at MCNO in the beginning, so if you have something to buy from me, that's the best time for it.

If you don't want to play indoors for whatever reason, including it being cramped, or not wanting to get shot by powerful guns at close range, please join us. Most everything will be the same.

Time - 10-4 (potentially later)

Gun bans - We'll judge, but the normal. No singled titans, no singled 5ks, no Doomsayers, no Roto rockets, no homemade airguns, no psycho drain uncloggers. I haven't had any problems with this rule set in the past.

Location - To be determined. We're scouting out a few parks in the neighboring areas, but our primary concern is going to be the chain of rain on Friday. We're hoping to have it not too soggy, while having a nicely diverse venue. Phil tells me that there's one that looks promising, with both wooded and open areas. We will let you know, and have pictures by Friday night.

If anyone l I just listed will be indoors with me, PM me.

I'd like some of the total attendance to be indoors, and the other outdoors. Then you can alternate maybe.
So far, more people prefer outdoors. I guess it's because the overpowered guns at closer proximity. Me and my friends will be playing and probably doing a lot of goofing off.

PlusBows are BANNED. They can clear across the room easy, and can "Eat Shit" (Self Filter!) easily.

I don't mind if more people are outdoors, indoors will get a little cramped with more people.
