They're on clearance most places because the ergonomics on them is abysmal. It's quite painful to use as intended because the prongs that the strap attach to stab into your arm. The included darts also have little rubber inserts inside the peg hole that dramatically neuter their performance

Tools/Supplies Needed
+ Screwdriver
+ Hot Glue Gun
+ Super glue
+ Band Saw, scrollsaw, or hacksaw
+ Plastic bungee (I got mine from a $0.50 foam pirate hat)
+ Plastic or dowel to use as a ramrod
+ Power drill
+ Two #6 or #8 finishing washers
+ #6 self-tapping sheet metal screws or #6-32 screw and a matching tapping bit
First mark where we need to cut the stock barrel.

Then simply cut it off there and pry out the remains of the air restrictor.

If your barrel material doesn't fit in the resulting hole you might have to drill it out (which can prove difficult because of the shape of the blaster) or make a coupler of some kind.

Simply glue in your new barrel. 3 or 4 inches works best.
I added a bracing piece because I want to make sure my barrel stays straight and can handle abuse.

You'll need to use a hot glue gun to plug the little vent hole shown here.
![Posted Image](http://www.captainslug.com/nerf/sm3db_006.jpg)
Cut a short length of barrel material and glue it to the side of the blaster with super glue. Then reinforce with hot glue.
Cut a 3-inch long rod of plastic or dowel that will fit loosely in your barrel.
Drill 7/64" holes where shown.

Using your #6 screws and finishing washers attach the ends of the bungee to the ramrod and ammo holders of the blaster and you're done.

And you're done. Integrated it onto anything that the straps will reach around. Or simply add some adhesive-backed velcro to the underside of the blaster.
Ranges: 40-55 feet with stefans
